Very poor quality. We order a bowl from them, and they sent us a bowl with old and smashed berries. I could even see mold on berries. That was really disgusting and disappointing.

I love love love South Block! Recently my bowls have been missing ingredients which is frustrating, and Customer Service takes a while to get back to you (plus you have to argue to get any sort of recognition or credit for a mishap). But honestly the taste and quality of the food is well worth missing ingredients most of the time!

I have ordered the same exact bowl on many occasions and i always end up driving to the location or waste money by throwing my order away because they ALWAYS mess up my order. It’s infuriating. Do not recommend for delivery.

South block has the best açai bowls around. The service is also impeccable and everyone’s so nice every time I come in almost every location, but especially this one. The only thing that ruins South Block for me is their management and their menu. I wish there was options for minimal topping. Some days I just want a açai bowl with nothing on it. There’s so much topping and not enough base.
Also, they don’t answer phones because it’s too loud in there but they also don’t let you customize anything if you order online so you have to go in person to order and wait every time if you have anything to customize. you can’t customize at the kiosks either because it’s the same operating system as online.
Also, their websites and web services just suck. They need to pay their IT department more. For a business this scale they should’ve had a really nice website and ordering operation system but they don’t.
They did recently change their app and point of sales system (square to toast) so hopefully that goes well, but that also means everyone who had points in their previous account loses all their points on top of making a whole new account (some folks did some folks did not)
Their standard of procedures, marketing, and corporation leadership just seems hodge podgy, disorganized, and are not doing any justice for the storefront who are actually doing great. When I see how it’s ran from higher up, it really discourages me to not go back lol if I’m going to pay top dollar ($13-14 for 1 bowl…) for top product, but get really bad service from corp- that’s not ok and I’m might as well go to pitaya Bowls.
It also made me wonder how the employees are getting treated because after talking to them about these issues, it seems like the management doesn’t care that the floor associates agree that there needs to be improvement.
Anyways, cracks all around - please fix it so I can enjoy a nice açai bowl from you guys and not feel resentment and spite lol
Edit: Alex from marketing got back to me and I got back my points, which is wonderful. Alex also took the suggestions I put on this post and hopefully we can see some more topping options and to be able to customize our orders on app/online
