To preface, I am not a vegetarian. I chose this spot because I was with a friend who is vegetarian. What can say is that the food texture is very similar to the real meats! We had their vegetarian version of shrimp, beef, and chicken. A cool detail with the “shrimp” is that it still had those orange stripes on it, similar to the real ones even though it had a coated layer applied.
Taste-wise, it was perfection. Everything was seasoned and cooked well. Some of the dishes are labeled with a pepper but our server says it was for people with really low spice tolerance. I couldn’t taste any spice.
Staff was friendly. The vibe here is more homey.

Sunflower Restaurant in Virginia. Odd flavors. The Japanese BBQ sauce tasted like peanut butter and the curry was salty. Oh well. It was my second time there and I wanted to love it, but I didn’t.

Absolutely love this cute restaurant, delicious vegan food, also good vegetarian options. Hard to find vegan options here in NOVA, but this restaurant is an absolute gem, and the staff is so friendly and kind.

Great vegetarian restaurant. I particularly love the General Tso's.

This resto is in Vienna but only about a 15-min drive from the Fairfax campus of George Mason University. I’m so happy I found this place! My fave thing to order is the Crispy Happiness made w vegan beef strips—-it’s one of their best-sellers for a reason. I just went there 2 days in a row ordering the same exact thing: Crispy Happiness, V shrimp tempura roll, and a slice of V chocolate mousse cake. Service is soo friendly (we love the manager Douglas!). The menu is 99% vegan (a couple of things have honey in the ingredients). ALL desserts are vegan (also have tiramisu, red velvet cake…). Try this place, you won’t be disappointed!!! We live 4 hours away but we’ve been there several times already haha!

An absolute great choice for vegetarians, and can work if you’re not normally eating vegetarian food. It’s located in a small building with enough free parking for customers, and a very comfortable ambience. Staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful to customers, and quickly seated us. The food is very tasty, especially if you’re not used to an all-vegetarian menu. Prices are overall reasonable given it’s a specialty restaurant, portions, and flavors. We started off with seaweed salad and fried “Chick”in, which was a good take on nuggets. For our main meals we had Orion Ruby (a sweet and sour dish with taro dumpling puffs), eggplant medley, and ma po tofu. I personally liked the Orion Ruby best.

Just got done with our meal, and it was amazing! We had two servers tonight (8/27/2025) who teamed up to help all the tables and they were both so friendly and helpful! I had come here one prior time & loved all the food so we got the same things. The Age Tofu is such a great starter, my mom got the Tom Yum soup and loved it! We split the Authentic Singapore Street Noodles in addition to our entrees and it’s just so unique and delicious. The flavor is so complex that keeps you coming back for more. I got the Hong Kong Tofu for my entree again and it was as amazing as always. The vegetables taste like they were just picked fresh. The Orange Tempura Garden was so yummy with mushrooms, sweet potato, broccoli & more with the yummiest orange sauce ever. Literally tastes like it was just made with fresh orange. I got my Jujube & Longan Fruit Crystal Tea again and it’s so good! It feels great to support a local restaurant instead of a chain, especially when it’s vegetarian/vegan. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Almost everything we’re tried has been very good. Service is always excellent. My wife who isn’t vegetarian also asks to come here.

You will enjoy Sunflower breakfast, with a little hit and miss, nice outdoor patio, nice service and big bill. Egg dishes are excellent except for mediocre biscuit and blah salad dressing. Coffee just OK. We had no wait on Sunday morning. You will be taken back by the bill with its extra fee, plus tip.

This place has such a long wait and I’m not sure why. Service was so slow. We ordered wine when we sat and they took so long, then brought out something completely different. We had to tell them it was wrong, and there was no apology. Then they took another 10 minutes to bring us the right one (we ordered a sparking rose and they brought us a red). It also gets HOT and there’s a ton of flies in their patio area. We ordered a regular grilled cheese, wagyu and chicken kale salad. The waygu in the grilled cheese was crazy. Zero chance you could bite it without choking. The meat is way too thick for a sandwich. It was also so greasy! The kale salad had cold chicken which is sad for $25+ dollars. Warm chicken was expected and instead it tasted like chicken that was cooked in bulk that morning and refrigerated. Our wine finally came but after our food. They seem so overworked. We heard the server behind us complaining about the guests sitting behind us which I thought was so unprofessional. Last time we came to Sonoma we stumbled into a seafood spot nearby for lunch and it wasn’t crowded plus way better food. I think this place relies too much on the location.
