NO HANDICAPPED PEOPLE!!! BE WARNED!!!!
So today my son was able to return to Bob’s restaurant.
AND WE WERE TOLD TO LEAVE. The OWNER - some younger Horse now runs it. Now my handicapped son had his foot cut off and had it reattached. Over the past 2.5 years has had 13 surgeries. Today he had a follow-up scan, image, ultrasound and was in pain about 12 out of ten. So he asked for Bob’s Diner. Well the much older man that used to work there was great to chat with, typical hi and how are yous. He remembers us before the accident and after when he first saw us after the accident. And was concerned for my son. We have only gone there for three generations of our family. This had become our family place. I never imagined a handicapped person being asked to leave. Basically the young waitress(a super kind young lady) lead us to a spot that would allow my injured son to sit with pain. All the way to the window. (Great seat) we got him in position to enjoy a meal. Then she returns to advise us that the owner wants us to move? I asked her to send him over. Apparently we were at the end of his biggest seat? 6 or 8 people. He wanted us to move to the other end of the restaurant at a two person table. I explained that there were plenty of tables empty? (12 tables empty) and NO ONE WAS IN LINE? His reply (Well they could show up - please leave my restaurant). The older gentleman sitting in the next booth was shaking his head with disgust. WE WILL NEVER DAMPEN YOUR RESTAURANT AGAIN. TREATING DISABLED PEOPLE LIKE PAWNS IN A GAME MAKE YOU SCUM.
By the way he should have asked his wait staff how to put 2 tables together to make them bigger like the previous owner did for US many times for our family dinners. * TO THE waitstaff - if you want a better job - DM me. I have a list OF BETTER BOSSES. THERE IS BETTER FOR YOU.

Food is pretty good. Angie is great. The rest aren't worth the time it takes to learn their name, especially the brunette bartender. Prices are wrong & they do not know their own menu.

Had to grab a bite to eat and then get down the road. It was a ok place for that. But not for socializing with a group of friends unless you’re just drinking. The bathroom are not big at all and if you have to do a number 2 you better have a friend standing outside to give you some privacy.

We are visiting Roanoke and decided to eat here. The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly and welcoming to us. The gentleman that took our order made time to show my grandson some pictures on his phone about a train he had saw. We will come back whenever we are back in Roanoke. Thanks for taking time to chat with my grandson.

Been riding pass this place for years…finally went based off the reviews. we got the cheese burger and fries. added a side of macaroni salad. will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
