We try to eat at Dogwood anytime we're in Vinton. We love their menu as you can find homestyle meals along with great burgers or sandwiches. We dropped by last night after a soccer practice, and our meals were delicious! The service was great! We also loved the additional space they have built out next door since the last time we visited. They even have outdoor dining now! We'll be back soon! (I had the grilled chicken with grilled onions and mushrooms, mac & cheese, and greens with cornbread - pictured.)

This is definitely a place to consider if you're looking for an old diner feeling restaurant. Very high energy, lots of seating options for small parties or large parties. The food is simply marvelous!!!! The daily specials are special for a reason. I had the chicken and dumplings special, the day we were there, and it was almost as if my mom had just cooked it.

Foods mid and salty as hell, the new service is questionable at best but the atmosphere is great. Its good for if youre real hungry and can get nothing else but otherwise eat anywhere else

Saturday nights prime rib starts at 4:30 and it did not disappoint. The food came out incredibly fast. It was the best prime rib I have ever had! This place is a gem!

My family ate breakfast there and had a small wait time. What we didn’t expect was the pubic hair on my plate. I can’t tell you how horrible this kind of experience was and I lost my appetite. The manger took my meal off the bill but I think she should’ve taken the other 2 meals off as well. We won’t be returning.

Excellent food but don't bother during busy times. Won't answer the phone for pick up orders or, even worse, takes the phone and sets it on the counter leaving you saying, Hello? While you hear the background chatter. It's good that you're doing well dogwood but when you are slammed it's no excuse for poor treatment. I've been a patron since you weren't as successful but my patience has come to an end. I will spend my money elsewhere.
Dogwood is losing its charm. A hour and 10 minutes wait is too long for a soggy omelette, one pancake and eggs with home fries. My family and I have been going to the dogwood for many years now because we live super close. Today we sat on the new side for breakfast. We waited roughly an hour and 10 minutes to be served. All the while we witnessed 5 other tables in the old section be sat, served and leave. While we are waiting. Staff was polite but apparently the POS system prioritized the other room first. Also there was a large 10 tip seated roughly 15 minutes after us in the new room. They were served the exact time of our meal. Omelette was soggy, almost seemed rushed. Wait staff mentioned this is a common issue now. Meals taking a long time, meals not the same as quality as before. Such a shame because this place was so charming.
