We try to eat at Dogwood anytime we're in Vinton. We love their menu as you can find homestyle meals along with great burgers or sandwiches. We dropped by last night after a soccer practice, and our meals were delicious! The service was great! We also loved the additional space they have built out next door since the last time we visited. This is definitely a place to consider if you're looking for an old diner feeling restaurant. Very high energy, lots of seating options for small parties or large parties.
The food is simply marvelous!!!! The daily specials are special for a reason. I had the chicken and dumplings special, the day we were there, and it was almost as if my mom had just cooked it.

Other than needing a sign maybe telling you to seat yourself, it was really good. I had the Hamburger Steak Dinner with gravy, delicious! Downhome menu items, friendly wait staff, and portions are always good size for the money. Oh! And their huge, warm pretzel appetizer with cheesy dip is incredible! Give it try. 😊
