We have gone to macado's for years and years. The one in vinton is just very dirty. There's dust hanging on the walls on the pictures. It just hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. The food was really good that had not gone downhill and then the young woman that was waiting on us. She was lovely but my husband who doesn't notice anything even said the dirt on the walls and the pictures and everything make it so it's very unappetizing to want to eat

3 strikes you're out! 3 times my family and I have placed orders to pick up and the food was wrong each time and had to get meals remade plus the food just doest taste as good as all the other Macados we have ate at which we have been to them all except 1. Love Macados but we will not be back to the Vinton Macados again.

We came here for dinner tonight @ 6:30 (Tuesday 2/25) and left very disappointed!!! There was only 1 couple in line in front of us so we knew there wasn’t a wait.
We could clearly see empty tables but the hostess told us the only empty low top table was a 6 top. Since there were only 2 of us, she said “I will have to ask the servers permission to seat you there”. WHAT??? I have 25 yrs of restaurant experience and have NEVER heard a customer told something so ridiculous.
The end result is we turned around and left. We landed at Pok-e-Joes and had a FANTASTIC dinner & AMAZING service!!!
After a horrendous experience at the downtown location about 6 weeks ago, and tonight’s experience at the Vinton location, we are DONE with Macadoos.
In the end, thank you for sucking and helping us find our way across the street.

I am about to give up on them. Sometimes the food is really good but A LOT of times it sucks. I got a Reuben tonight and I bet 50% of the meat was fat. The bread was so soggy I couldn't pick it up without it falling over. I wish they would get rid of the horrible cooks and keep the good ones. I got boneless wings there one night and I thought it was going to fly across the room (it was so hard) when I stuck my fork in it.
Well a year or so later here's how my buffalo Chicken wrap was served. Can't pick it up to eat it. Just pieces of tortilla stuck together.

Orders were incorrect and when the waitress was alerted, she stormed off with the order. Also the restaurant was freezing! We were sitting at the table with our coats still on.

Ordered online was told it would be ready at 750. My husband went to pick up and it was NOT ready, was told it would be 10 mins. Well 45mins later it still was NOT ready. Whole time hosts was playing on her phone nor acknowledged others as they came in. Place was not that busy. Guess I'm never eating here again and I used to love eating her.

The food was luke warm when I got it along with not being made correctly. The server was nice but not very attentive. It took about 20 mins to get my potato skins and by the time the server stopped by to check it wasnt worth having it remade. Unfortunately, this isn't the 1st time I've had bad service here.

The Simple Travels
Since Macado’s turned the old public library where our kids once frequented, we loved the overall decor and what was done to make it inviting. That said, the overall experiences upon each return is rather drab. Nothing stands out that really makes you want to go back other than there aren’t tons of options to have dinner or drinks with friends and families. The overall cleanliness was poor and service was very slow. After arriving just past 7PM we didn’t leave until after 9:30PM. It was busy, but two and a half hours was a bit much. The restrooms weren’t much better than a truck stop too. This may be our last visit to this Macado’s.

The place is decent, but every times we ask for a table the Waiter always has to go clean a table.. I don’t understand why they can’t be cleaned as soon as the customers leave lol. The floors are also always so dirty under the table, they don’t keep up with the place.
