I have been going to 17 Hands for years now. What I noticed today was how insanely expensive their coffee has become. I always knew their baked goods were on the pricey side but they are also just about the best I have ever had so I figured it was worth it. But $10 for a large oatmilk latte is crazy. My small iced shaken espresso was $9.40! So while I definitely agree that they offer a greatly superior product, my income has priced me out of coming back :(
Russell, you made my morning with your rosemary focaccia bread!! See you soon :-)
Have always loved this place but prices have become exorbitant, unfortunately. I understand prices have gone up everywhere but $9.40 for a SMALL iced oatmilk latte seems extreme. I would recommend to folks who have a more disposable income than I do 😅
Hands down, definitely one of the best cafés I've ever been to. I always get the butterbeer lattes from them. Always a hit! And their scones are some of the best I've ever had. Oreo is a top favorite. And the goodies from next door (Robin Simmons Bakery) are a huge bonus. Their cheesecakes are amazing! 10/10, would always recommend!

Prices are high comparing to other coffee shops around ? A piece of cake or cheesecake is $8.00 plus tax. Coffee not the best flavor but cheesecake is good flavor. They have a variety of other baked goods and drinks.

First time here. The guy cashiering was super helpful. Good iced caramel machiatto and chocolate chip cookies. Spied a sign about She Crab Soup. Will be back!

The prices are rather high for the portion sizes. I understand the ingredients are locally sourced however, which accounts for the cost. I definitely couldn't go on a weekly basis.

Awesome! I have a sweeter tooth when it comes to coffee, and enjoy a well done coffee base for the flavor mix. Every choice so far has been a hit! 10/10

You will be spending $8 for a 12oz drink here?

Off putting customer service from the cashier to the person making the food. Maybe it was because it was a Monday? Regardless. Kindness goes a long way! At least the person smiled who gave me my coffee but I have never felt more unwelcomed and a bother in a place where I've never been before! I opted for dine in but was given it to go instead. And they burnt my cinnamon roll :( No big deal but added to the unwelcoming feeling. Visit with caution
The sweet potato biscuits are very good.

We have been going to this coffee shop since they opened. We love this place so much. The only thing I have to critique is the pricing. For my fiancé and I to get 2 lattes is almost $20. We understand that it is a local coffee shop, but we are not able to go enjoy this coffee shop as often as we would like because two drinks (regular whole milk, nothing fancy), shouldn’t cost us $20.
We love this place and the bakery, but the prices need to be figured out. To get a large drink (which isn’t large at all) is 5.99 plus an additional $1.14 for the larger size. Then anything you add to it is an additional charge. Whipped cream is an additional $0.64.
We understand businesses have needs and prices of inflation are hurting everyone, but after 2 coffees and 2 biscuits and a tip, we are hitting $40+.
For example: 1 x Shaken Espresso (Custom Beverage)
Espresso
Size: Large (16 Oz) ($1.14)
Milks (Splash): Whole Milk
Flavors: Bourbon Caramel ($0.73)
$8.91
This above isn’t even a speciality drink.
We would love to see bigger sized coffees as well.
On the positive note: everyone has been so kind and so thoughtful each and every time we come in. The food and coffee has always been delicious as well.

I rarely do reviews unless it is a very excellent or a poor experience. On Sept. 2 I came in to get a few bakery items for the road and a gift card for a friend. As I approached the counter the man was waiting on a young woman being very friendly and pleasant. When it was my turn to order I expected the same friendliness I had just seen, however, the man took my order, ringing it in, but then didn't want to take cash, which was ok, since I offered to use card when he seemed put off when he saw me with cash. Then I asked if he had an envelope for the gift card, he said yes, but there is a charge for it.(??) He thanked me for my order after giving my receipt, but neglected to get 2 of my bakery items, when I asked for them, he dismissively said someone else will get those for you. I had to ask someone else to help me who didn't know I'd paid, whom I felt I had to show her my receipt. Just an overall negative experience. I felt he was rude and perhaps age discriminating since my experience was so very much more on the unfriendly side than what I had observed. Even if the bakery items are great, poor service is what you remember.
