I wanted to grab some grub before checking out a movie, but I had no idea where I wanted to go. I originally decided to hit up some place quick that I've already been to, but at the last minute I decided to head to 7 Cities when I spotted them on the Yelp app. It was a Saturday afternoon on 6/15/2019 and I saw they were located at the Lynnhaven North Shopping Center. Lynnhaven North has been undergoing an overhaul recently, bringing plenty of new businesses to reinvigorate a section that once was ghost town. I was seated quickly upon entering and my drink order was taken at the same time. Their interior is cozy, but a little tight, but it wasn't busy when I came in. My server was friendly and answered all my questions, including questions about when they opened, etc. Since it was my first time here, I decided on appetizer in addition to an entrée. Their chicharron de pollo (Dominican fried chicken) sounded great, so I ordered one. They resemble chicken strips/nuggets and were crispy on the outside and tender and juicy inside - a perfect combo when it comes to fried chicken. 7 Cities happens to have a brunch menu, so I jumped at the chance to get an omelet. I chose the Oscar, which is an omelet with lump crab meat, baby shrimp, tender marinated steak & asparagus, then topped with hollandaise sauce. This omelet is delicious and the rice that came with it was fantastic, too. I highly recommend the Oscar if you're down for a good omelet. One thing - if you're a soda drinker they don't have a fountain machine. They serve sodas in bottles with a glass of ice. Not a big deal, unless you're thirsty or against paying for refills. Service was excellent and I enjoyed my experience. I need to go back but I haven't been in the area during their operating hours. Regardless, 7 Cities is a welcome addition to the area and is worth a try. JV

Here is the menu and what we had today. I had chicken and waffles and my hubby had a cheeseburger with an egg on a brioche bun. It was delicious. Best she crab soup I think I have ever had not even kidding.

Drove by this place and saw the open sign. Decided to check it out. I remember it used to be Beach Breaks Burgers and Shakes. My son and I were greeted and seated right away. I got unsweetened tea with refills. My son got a bottled drink, no fountain drinks like you normally see. The server brought my son some water after he finished his carbonated beverage. My tea stayed replenished, which I appreciate. My son ordered the hangover melt, burger was cooked to desired temperature, well done. I ordered the classic cubano. The chef seemed to be passionate about the food he was preparing. The music created an inviting atmosphere. When the food came out, looked and smelled delicious. Taking that first bite, I was savoring every bit of it. The fries were seasoned uniquely and very satisfying. I will have to try some other things on the menu.

Had a great experience here! The kids got free waffles which I thought a great idea. The waffles were delicious and both my kids were happy. My husband had the Cuban which he loved. I had the Tostones with Chicharron de Pollo and a beef empanada! I loved my food as well! The empanada really hit the spot, so delicious I got 2 to go! My daughter had a breakfast dish which she enjoyed but after the waffle she couldn't finish it all. We will be back! Yummy!

Very nice place. Food was excellent and service was even better. So glad we stumbled on it when walking by. Was ask several times by waitress and cook if everything was good. Nice little buffet to try different kind of foods. we will be back 😉

First time here and we were not disappointed. Such an array of choices for breakfast AND lunch! The beef empanadas were AMAZING! Our 3 kids enjoyed their free kids waffles. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Will go here again!! Deep fried pork chop with potatoes was so moist. Another in our party had the cubano, also amazing. Son ordered the plantain nachos. They had a nice salsa with fresh veggies and hit of vinegar. Drizzled over nachos was a great white sauce with a touch of pepper heat. Very good. The cook is obviously the owner. Very nice guy who clearly has a passion for his food. His daughters operate cash register and wait tables. You can tell they would rather be some place else and don’t share fathers zeal.

Found this little spot on Yelp after a massage. My mom and I stopped in to support small businesses and we are glad we did! The service was good, the food was great! I had a chicken house salad and plantains. Mom got a burger and sweet potato fries which were amazing. We got my dad a Philly cheesesteak to go which he said was delicious as well. They serve breakfast all day so I will def be back next time I'm in the area!
