I love the service and overall environment. I have eaten here several times and LOVE their chicken pita with a side of their lemon roasted potatoes. The potatoes are so flavorful. The belly dancing is also pretty cool!

I found this place for the first time and loved it ever since. THe garlic/potato dip is SOO amazing. Delicious food! Not usually over-crowded either which is great.

Service slow. Bone in lemon chicken soup. Table after us was served first. Ignored by two staff members when called and yes they made eye contact. All food arrived COLD! Went straight to desk to lodge complaints and walked out! First visit. Last visit. Have never walked out of a restaurant before tonight.

With all the rave reviews, I expected a little bit more from this place. I didn't hate it but probably won't be back anytime soon. Boyfriend and I went here on a Friday evening in mid-November. They were setting up for a big birthday party so service was a bit slow, but our waitress was nice and we weren't in any kind of rush. We ordered the zucchini fritters to start. They were a bit like zucchini latkes, served with tzatziki on the side -- pretty good and seasoned well. I had lamb kabobs, which came with Greek salad and rice pilaf. The pilaf was fine -- not anything to write home about, but not bad at all. The Greek salad was probably my favorite part of the meal with plenty of feta and a delicious dressing. The lamb, however, was a little oversalted and incredibly gristly. I could barely cut the meat with the knife given to me and I spent a long time chewing my way each piece. My boyfriend got mousaka with Greek potatoes and green beans. The green beans were bland, oily, and not a hit overall. The potatoes were good and nicely seasoned. He'd never had mousaka before and he enjoyed it. I've had better and worse. The cinnamon/allspice flavor was a little bit strong for me but I found myself eating more of his than mine since chewing the lamb was a bit of a chore. I may be back to try the lunch options here. I feel like I should give the place another chance given its many fans. The food was fine, just not the level of quality I was expecting.

Awesome food with great service. We had a mezzo platter to start. Then we had gyros, kebabs, and pastitsio. It was a quiet atmosphere. Perfect for our dinner.

Coming to Virginia Beach from Northern Virginia, we found this treasure using Google Maps! The restaurant is darling, inside and out. Our waitress was amazing: knowledgeable about the wines and food, attentive but not overbearing, friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the Dolmades with delicious Greek Style Green Beans and the tastiest Rice Pilaf I've ever had. My boyfriend was disappointed by the Gyro platter, as the meat seemed to be cut and fried from a loaf rather than sliced off a spit (which is his favorite). My sister's Mousaka stole the show! I am so happy I was able to sample the wines before deciding, and I ended up choosing the server's recommendation: Tetramythos RODITIS Patras 2013. If I'm in the area again I would love to come back for the Mousaka!

The food is always spot on and the staff is excellent! Gyro is the best in town and is truly authentic Greek food! Reminds me of my yiayias home cooking during holidays!

My husband and I enjoyed a very nice dinner at Ammos tonight. First, we shared a perfectly prepared calamari appetizer. For entrees, I ordered a gyro platter (with rice instead of fries), and husband ordered the meat sampler. Both of our dishes were piping hot and absolutely delicious. Service was exceptionally friendly. Ammos is my new favorite Greek restaurant!

Samantha the all time nicest and most helpful One man show in all of Virginia Beach made our dining experience superb ! The food was outstanding, generous portions and was quite authentic.. which we could Always be so fortuitous as to have a waitress/ host/ server as well trained as Samantha

Yiannis was far better when they were open. Flaming cheese tasted disgusting $10!!! Order the gyro...not the platter..not worth an extra $7. The fries were soggy and seemed they were just recooked.

Drove for 8 hours from Pennsylvania for the holiday and the first order of take-out I ever made wasn't ready when I got there (after the time I was texted that it would be late) and the order wasn't complete (missing items) which I didn't realize until I got home. Called up to see if I could be refunded because they said it was too small to deliver $9 shrimp/side salad and told me since I did it online it couldn't be refunded (never heard of that in my life and I work with e-commerce software and online ordering) but I could drive back and pick it up. Told them driving there to get it wasn't going to happen so they told me I would be refunded the difference if I ordered there again...which isn't going to happen as I don't live here. Food was good and that was about it. I was only given 2 bags for 4 meals and sides stacked to the brim and it spilled everywhere. Double check your take-out.
