Customer service sucks I called to place an order and the phone person was very rude. Asked her a question about cannelloni and tells me she’s very busy and get to the point. I use to go there regularly. They just lost a customer.

Be very careful if you use your credit card. I live in Florida and was visiting Virginia Beach, had dinner there with friends. My bill totaled $37.29. My credit card statement arrived recently and I was double charged for my meal. I called them and they basically said they couldn’t locate my transaction on their computer so they couldn’t help me. I had the chicken parm, I’d give it a 3 at best. I can make better at home.

Ate here with my family tonight, we were tired of eating fried, overpriced American food. Let me tell you, this place is a hidden gem in Virginia Beach! Prices are excellent for a large family, and the owner and staff are wonderful human beings. Angelo is a top notch chef, we even purchased 2 bottles of their sauce to bring home with us. All 6 of us agreed this was the best food we have ever eaten, we even splurged for desserts. So good!

Excellent! Their veal dishes are very good as well as their manicotti.

Truly delightful. We moved here recently and have been searching high and low for good restaurants. The food was absolutely delicious, exceeding all expectation, and the staff was absolutely fantastic. The owner came by personally to speak to us as we were new customers. He was a delight. Our server (I believe her name is Jennifer) was wonderful and so kind to my husband and I. Our evening was spent sipping authentic cappuccinos while enjoying fresh calamari, eggplant parm, their speciality clam dish, and making wonderful conversation with our lovely waitress. This was truly authentic Italian food on par with that of true Italian cuisine straight from the Mediterranean. It felt like home.

First off, the food was great. However, there was a major blowout between 2 waitresses while we were there. An older waitress bullied a younger one to the point of tears and even though the younger waitress kept asking the older one to please go outside to discuss the older one kept antagonizing her and making a scene until our younger waitress broke down. It was extremely cruel and unprofessional. It was very clear the older one knew what she was doing and took pleasure in upsetting the younger waitress. The poor girl was hysterical by the time we quickly left. I don’t feel like I should be in a position to take sides in an employee disagreement, but here we are.

Best authentic Italian restaurant in Virginia! Flavor is always amazing and they have a wonderful cozy atmosphere. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! I recommend the antipasti salad and their chicken parmigiana :)

Without a doubt, the best Italian in Virginia Beach. Love coming to this place and I've never had a bad experience. Service and food both excellent. Really have nothing bad to say.

Angelo’s dishes taste like I’m back in Sicilia again. I highly recommend the stuffed shells with a side of meatballs. We started out with the mozzarella salad. Perfecto!

Waited for over an hour for a Cesar salad and pasta with limited communication on when to expect our food. Ended up leaving with To-Go boxes, and a bad taste in my mouth as a person visiting the area. Like waiting over an hour, for a salad, really?

The servers were quick, responsive, and helped ease the tension when orders weren't coming out.
The young man who was our server was very informative and polite. He worked well under the pressure, took care of us as his customers, and worked well with what he could control. He asked the kitchen to box our meals after we finally decided to leave.

Their return customers spoke very highly of this establishment. Most of the customers that came through the door spoke of recent visits, and were willing to wait when the restaurant quickly filled. There was a party of four that waited 30 minute for a table and a manger/ server (not sure of her position) canceled a late reservation to sit down the party of four. ( can you tell I had a lot of time to sit, and people watch? 😆)

Lastly, the one star is honestly for the kitchen staff, who behind a four-foot window can't communicate it'll take them an hour to chop up chicken and lettuce and have it served to the table.

Baked Ziti, garlic bread, to go <$15

Baked ziti was a lot more beefy than I anticipated. In fact, I wasnt expecting ground beef at all - Im indifferentto there being beef. Noodles and sauce were good.

Garlic bread was a hoagie roll s0lit sandiwch style, drenched in greasy garlic butter, and lightly toasted... not my fave, litterally greasy butter dripped when I picked it up or squeezed out after taking a bite.

Was ready in 30-45min. Order was correct.

Angelo's is our favorite place to enjoy delicious Italian cuisine in a warm family setting. The food is always delicious and the price is right. The fried Mozzarella sticks are the best we've had anywhere and the Calamari fritte takes me back to when I was stationed in Naples Italy. Tutto era delizioso come sempre!
