Norfolk has an impressive range of Filipino restaurants and cafés, and Angie’s Bakery still manages to stand out. On a Sunday morning, the place was alive with a steady flow of the local Filipino community— a reminder that the best food always draws people home.

The ube is the star here, and rightfully so. From coffees to pastries, every purple-hued bite was delicious. We grabbed a dozen ube rolls fresh to-go, and they didn’t even make it past the day. The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere carried that perfect mix of neighborhood charm and cultural pride.

For me, this was more than just a bakery stop— it was a taste of heritage. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat 🇵🇭

Five stars, easily.

This is one of those places where once you go once, you'll be thinking about going all the time. I visited the first time because I was craving ube and they had lots of options available.

Now I've gone back a few times and am always looking forward to when the next time I can visit is! The Ube latte is a must for every visit, and everything I've tried has been phenomenal. The bread is so perfect and soft; buy more than you think you need because you're going to want to eat it all in one sitting and will need the extra.

Wow, friendly staff and cashier. Very soft spoken. Lots of delicious bread on display to look at and decide what to buy.

Friendly service and great tasting fresh breads. Service was helpful and efficient. It all looked good so I had to try a little of everything.
The classic pandesal and stuffed breads were all delicious. The Ube bread was absolutely filled up, which was way better than one from another bakery in the region. The only disappointment was the hopia today as both kinds I tried were a little dry. Everything else was excellent. Definitely worth it.

Ube bread was a bit dry and lacked love.

This is a walk-in & go bakery. They have a table there with a couple chairs but honestly, get your delicious baked goods and GTFO!😄
