Applebee's Grill + Bar

I stopped in for lunch and got the big clucking chicken sandwich. That was the toughest chicken sandwich I have ever had. 2 bites and I was done. The oil it was cooked in was old and you could taste it. Very disappointed. It isn't that difficult to change the oil out and was actually surprised that they would allow such a thing to happen. Especially at such a busy restaurant.

The only redeeming quality of this place was our polite server and my understanding of how hard it is to be a waiter. The food was nasty, found a hair in it, the bathrooms disgusting, and took over 30 minutes to get my first drink. The food got to the table before my drink. Terrible experience. Our server was doing his best though but that wasn’t enough to cover how much this place sucked. The seat are filthy, too. I didn’t want to touch anything in here.

Haven't been to an applebees in years decided to stop in while running errands they had options for my keto diet. Good waitress. Really need to update furnishings and decor. Still had dirty tables from night before. Gave a senior vibe. Lots of older people. I love older people don't get me wrong. But would have preferred a more active scene like it used to be back on the day. Steak was good....a bit too much oil.

Our waiter was amazing. Handled a party of 20 with only one minor mistake. Cudos to him and the entire team.

This place is the worst. The service is worse than the food. Absolutely over it. The heavy set bartender is rude. The seating to the immediate right always smells like someone homeless lives there. The booths by the backdoor smell like urine. The waiters are HORRIBLE!!!! Used to be a regular 1-3 times a week. I'll never step foot in this dump again.

Did an online order for the 999 meal deal. I ordered the chicken sandwich. The taste of like cardboard. It looked like it had been sitting out for a day. The look of it was nothing like what the commercial had advertised it was a thin piece of chicken patty that I could have gotten from the grocery store. We had ordered through Uber eats and I called the store and they gladfully refunded the meal and apologize so that was the good part of it. I will never order from them again. Yes they came out ahead at the end but the whole experience was nauseating.

Stopped by for a 9.99 deal. Burger or chicken sandwich fries endless and drink. It was pretty good and for the price I couldn't beat it. Really solid.

On February 2nd, I went to get dinner at the Applebee's on Virginia Beach Boulevard. There was a server there by the name of Dylan. He was at the front of the restaurant and the only young black female employee started cursing at him while customers were around including myself. Her mom later showed up and was verbally harassing the server. The gentleman did nothing wrong to her, and all he said was to stop cursing in front of the customers and act professional. I was still there trying to enjoy my meal, and the server Dylan went to one of the tables he was serving, to collect a payment from that customer, and his other table with a tall, light skinned, man, and his girlfriend told him about an issue about their food. The server acknowledged them and said he'd be right back once he finished the other customers payment. That upset the light skinned man, and the man follow the server and the customer to the back in a rage. The man then left to return to his table, and once the server returned, he was then shoved by the man into the surrounding tables and chairs. This is not what I expect to see when I go out to eat on the rare occasion when I'm off work. Poor management skills. I feel bad for the server and what he had to deal with.

the service was lousy and it took well over an hour to get our food. they seemed understaffed and staff that was there seemed avoidant of tables, not just ours. definitely a pass for future dining

Great food and good service. kitchen & store manager came to our table to make sure our food was good. Everyone was very friendly and attentive!!
