Located near Red Mill, Back Bay Gourmet offers a touch of beachy elegance to a busy shopping center. The restaurant had a very aesthetically pleasing atmosphere with beachy decor and grand chandeliers. The menu offers a wide selection of food, making it perfect for any occasion- they even have a kids menu. For lunch, you can choose from wraps, burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, and Paninis. For dinner they have burgers, pizza, and a variety of sea based entrees. One dish that stood out to me was the Sandbridge Sandwich, which is a hot sandwich with honey ham, applewood smoked bacon, grilled pineapple, cheese, and coleslaw, all served on ciabatta bread. The staff is younger but are incredibly respectful, welcoming, and inventive. My waitress frequently checked up on my table and ensured that my drinks were refilled. For a fancier restaurant, the prices are surprisingly reasonable, and unlike many nicer restaurants, they don't skimp on proportions. The restaurant is very clean, and the bathrooms are well maintained. Overall, if you are looking for a beachy, expensive looking restaurant that still has the price of a normal restaurant, I would definitely recommend Back Bay Gourmet.

My family and I went here for a late lunch around 2, there was not many people there. Our server must had forgotten to put in our food order as we waited for 40 minutes before he came back without our food saying there was a problem in the kitchen, yet everyone else there who came after us was getting their food. After 40 minutes we just got up and left.

The wait time for food at this establishment is ridiculous. We arrived at 6pm and did not receive our food until 7:45pm. There were no apologies offered at all. I understand being short staffed, but I still feel like that is too long to wait for food. The place was not that busy. It's a shame because the food is very good, but we won't be back.

I don’t know where to start with this place. We walked in to a beautifully appointed restaurant/gift shop on a girl’s day outing. The decor was done in black and white with lovely crystal chandeliers. What a wonderful way to start! The menu was equally enchanting. I got a turkey club sandwich with potato salad and was extremely happy with my choice. My mom got a hamburger with fries and was equally satisfied. The food came out fresh and looked as good as it tasted. We loved our server as she was very attentive and truly seemed to care about our experience. After our meal we ordered some bakery items to take home. Everything was exceptional. The gift shop had a coastal vibe that I really loved. I was truly happy with the selection as well as the pricing. I think we will be coming back here often when we go on our adventures. Looking forward to getting some Christmas shopping done by purchasing some unique gifts here and trying more of their offerings from the menu. We really enjoyed this place and I hope that you will too!

Came in for lunch with my girlfriend. I tried the Sandbridge and sweet fries and she had the Thai Wrap with regular fries. Everything was awesome!! Can’t wait to come back and try dinner!

They refused to serve a party of 9, although they had only 5 tables seated on a Wednesday night. I tried to make a reservation and told them it was for two birthdays and that I would come in and make sure they weren’t too busy. They totally refused service: I will never go there again and make sure everyone I know does not either. How do they stay in business if they can’t serve the tables in the dining room.

It was my 1st time visit. I had Derby salad with chicken and brewed sweet iced tea. Kitchen forgot the chicken. The server, Callie, was on her 2nd day. She quickly corrected the order. Others in the group had chicken salad on croissant / chips, crab cake sandwich / fries, and pulled pork sandwich / fries. Callie was very attentive checking on beverage refresh and anything else needed. The atmosphere and decor were VERY nice. Quaint size in seating area. Tables and booths were available. Chandelier and large vase of flowers were positioned in the center. Restaurant also had carryout options for purchase in the refrigerator at the entrance for ease of access. There is also a store to purchase home decorative goods. I would recommend.

My sister and I visited for a lunch date snd we were excited about the mushroom Brie soup which was pretty good however the half sandwiches that came with the soup were disappointing- my half sandwich was supposed to be a turkey panini but arrived cold, very small portion and not grilled. My sisters BLT was not toasted and was also very small. Thank goodness the soup was ok or we would have left hungry. When our waitress checked on us and I mentioned the panini wasn’t grilled she said they can’t grill the half sandwich because of the bread they use ???? The menu clearly states grilled turkey cranberry panini ??? Disappointing and probably won’t return - food quality doesn’t measure up to what they are charging.
