Not bad, but not the best. Me and my mother got The Meat Ball Sub, the meatballs were great but the bread was a little over cooked. The wait staff were ok, only problem is only one of them spoke English, but he was nice and helpful. Overall, ok... (Updated: not sure if it was the meat or the restaurant, but both my mother and myself got sick a hour or 2 after eating there. (Throwing up) we are going to avoid this restaurant)

Food quality is consistent with basics pizza sandwiches... have had no luck with specials always out of stuff "hot coco and onions rings this time". My problem is the consistent lack of customer service servers consistently have attitude and act like they could care less even though it is a slow Friday night.

Got a veggie pizza- they were out of black olives. Very thin and crispy crust and little sauce with no taste. They did not have garlic powder. Sparse toppings.

i have enjoyed many slices of drunk pizza at this establishment, and each slice is better than the last. i have also spent many nights throwing up in front of this place after a long fun night at calypso and the shack & the pizza always allows me to rally. i would like to consider this place a friend of mine, as they requested to follow my instagram. not sure how they found it, kinda creepy tbh, but i'll take it as a compliment. they lack one star for kicking us out as i was trying to sit, eat pizza, and question life decisions that night. i'm sorry for throwing up outside your business

I've visited Basil twice during my vacation in Virginia Beach. On my first visit, my pizza came in a paper box. However, this time, it was placed in a foam box, which unfortunately got burnt by the hot pizza. We were concerned about chemicals possibly melting into the pizza. Even though I offered to pay for a replacement slice, explaining my concerns, the owner and another staff member suggested I simply request a paper box next time and felt I was being rude. I was taken aback, as I was just voicing genuine concerns. Instead of accommodating my request for another slice, they offered a refund. Basically kicking me out with my kids. I'm left wondering how I could've conveyed my feelings without coming across as "rude". This was truly a disappointing service experience

Wanted a refreshing drink while walking the strip and stopped at this place. It is a pizza place but they have other options. The seating is pizza dining style with a couple of booths. The service was good. I ordered the pineapple bowl smoothie with strawberries. It was refreshing and filling. Look at the picture. I was surprised no one asked where I got it from as I walked. They missed out. It was spectacular. Highly recommend!

Ambiance? None. Good quality? Mediocre. A place to go when you are schmamered, and that guy/girl from the bar is looking better and better? TOP……NOTCH! My one slice of pizza was so greasy, after walking from the restaurant to the board walk (40 feet) my paper plate looked like a glass plate. I don’t want to imagine what my stomach is going through. Come for the pizza, but leave with the cheesecake.

Guy working the counter did not have a good command of the English language. A lot of trouble communicating. We wanted a cold sub but we’re told “ no subs and fountain soda was not working ( or so we were told). Prices are not correct online. We ordered a calzone to split. It was mediocre at best. All in all pretty unsatisfactory. Would not recommend.

Pizza was good, but the staff had issues taking our order and it all took a very long time (had to plug the meter halfway through our meal).

We got a large cheese pizza here on a weekend evening. The price was a little high for the taste however it was a very big pizza so it balances out. The pizza took about 25 minutes to make but check out was easy. The restaurant part was small and had dirty tables from patrons. #yelpvaburbs

Service was great! And they also offer military discount. However, the pizza could have used a bit more pizza sauce. Wings were great! I got the BBQ mixed with lemon pepper seasoning. Size of the pizza for a large was pretty huge

It might have been good. They canceled my order almost an hour later because they ran out of time and closed up shop. All day traveling and now finding somewhere else to eat. I won't bother with these folks again if they fail to perform.
