Spicy that the Margherita is made with thin slices and slices of tomatoes (Roma tomatoes) The sauce is good but don't call it Margherita call it Margherita 'mericana
My wife is from Brooklyn and we've eaten at Mulberry Street many times in Little Italy ?? and some of the best Italian food in NY and we both agree that Basilico is the most authentic Italian food we've had the pleasure of enjoying in the entire area if not Virginia period...I've done close to 300 reviews so check it out if you think I haven't had my share of real Italian food and believe me when I say this is THE SPOT! Bridget was our waitress and she kept our beverages full and was very polite and courteous, we had Eggplant ? Parmigiano and Veal Parmagia and we couldn't believe it, like being in NY I swear! The owners are super nice and can't wait to try the pizza!? Coming back absolutely and I cant stress enough the quality of this food!?????

Came to the beach for vacation and stopped here for a bite. Staff was friendly and attentive. Best Garlic Knots I've ever had. The chicken parmesan was incredible.

Make sure next time you want a great pie and salad you search out this gem on Oceana! Have been wanting to get there and did today. Hubby and I got a large NY Pizza and the Chopped Antipasto Salad. Salad was huge and hands down best salad I have ever had! Pizza was amazing, cooked to perfection and tasted spectacular. Perfect sauce and cheese and baked well done without having to ask. Take it from an ex NY'er this is the spot in Virginia Beach.

Basilico was a welcomed surprise for us while vacationing in Sandbridge VA! Pizza was amazing! Buratta appetizer is a must! All dressings are homemade and the create your own pasta was a hit with our teenage kids. The staff were wonderful and the owner stopped to chat with us! Basilico did not disappoint…we will definitely see you next year!
