I came here with a group of six women, and was told a 45 minute wait and that I would receive a text message. There was a bridal party of about seven women, behind me, also waiting for a table. My group waited next to the dollar store by the restaurant. After 30 minutes I went in, and was told we still had to wait. At the 45 mark, I went in and was told our table was given away and we would have to wait longer. I come to find out they went ahead and seated the bridal party. They did not send me a text message as they said, and it was confirmed. I had a pregnant woman in my group and was not about to wait longer than the additional 30 minutes more they wanted us to wait, in the hot sun with no seating available to wait. The service was unfriendly, staff did not care, and ultimately I'm not going to beg for a table at a place that I patiently waited well over 45 minutes to an hour for. I just moved to the area, and was told good things about this place, but it will never have my business, it was super unprofessional. We ended up eating next door. For the future, offer reservation services if you can't seat and would rather cater to certain groups of people.

This restaurant was an absolute find after trying to research the dense amount of places you have brunch in Virginia Beach (visiting for the weekend from out of town). After seeing the good reviews on here and a review on TikTok, it sealed the deal for trying this place!
The outside is very cute but deceiving for how big the inside is. I love the way that they have decorated and created the ambience.
Our waitress and the staff was very kind and helpful. We did not wait but five minutes to get seated despite how busy they were on a Saturday morning.
There was so many good options on the menu. It was hard for me to pick just one thing to have because everything was so unique and sounded so good! After much contemplation, we started with the banging balls, which were absolutely amazing! I could eat them all day every day. As my main, I did try the eggs benedict with fried chicken combo after having the help of the waitress decide. She was absolutely right, and it did not disappoint! It was absolutely to die for! I would love to try the oysters Rockefeller or crabcake eggs Benedict if I have the opportunity to eat here again in the future, although it would be hard not to order the same thing because it was so good!

Oh my goodness this place was great! The BEST bloody Mary with bacon, blue cheese olives and a soft shell crab. Wow. Fried oyster Benedict was amazing. If I had to pick on something, the grits were slightly undercooked for my taste. Service with a smile. Fantastic meal and can't wait to go back.

Bay Local Eatery is a very vibrant brunch experience. It is definitely one of our favorite go to restaurants in the Virginia Beach area. Very friendly and skilled staff. Delicious drinks and cocktails. Tasty food and the portions are great. Highly recommend 🍳🥞🥑🥂
