20 minutes after being sat we left because the 2 overworked waiters refused to claim the table or even make eye contact with us.

Warning, tip is automatically added onto check. We had a server named Sam who we barely saw, we were served without silverware, took him 20 minutes to bring us any. The wait staff doesn’t have to put in as much effort because 20% gratuity is automatically added. My fish was tasteless, my brothers chicken, tasteless. I recommend finding a better spot on the boardwalk.

Be aware if you go there to expect to pay a king's ransom per person. The food was good but overpriced for what it is. We had the trio of fried foods (chicken, shrimp, and fish). All were good but it ended up being approximately 27 for the one meal so my wife and I split it. Waitress did not come around very often and drinks were left dry frequently.

My son and I ate here during our recent family vacation to VB. We like to try restaurants we haven't been to and this was one we had never visited. It's a lot nicer inside than it appears from the outside. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress Makenzie was wonderful, she was very friendly and busy!! My son got the crab cake dinner, which came with red potatoes and green beans, he said it was really good, and the crab cakes were a good size. We shared the crab dip, and theirs is some of the best I've ever had. I got their Small Shrimp Feast, I think it was called... it had crab legs, fried shrimp, friend chicken tenders, red potatoes, and an ear of corn. The crab legs were covered in Old Bay... something I rely wish restaurants would stop doing because it is SO MESSY!!!! They also had very little meat in them, which I know the restaurant really can't control. The friend shrimp was good, the chicken a bit dry. The ear of corn was still wrapped in his husk and was crunchy and yummy. I got a mixed drink, Alejandros Pain Killer.... and let me say, it was DELICIOUS!!! I could have drank about a dozen... lol....

My husband and I stopped in here the other night to get an adult beverage since it was right next door to our hotel. It was late in the night and we specifically told the person who seated us we only came to get a drink. We waited for several minutes before anyone came to our table. Once again we told the person we only wanted to order an adult beverage. We ordered one of those bucket drinks which we felt like in hindsight was a bit of a rip-off. Anyhow next thing I know here comes an order of hush puppies to the table. We assumed that they were complimentary so we didn't say anything. When our bill arrived, there's a charge on it for the hush puppies. I disputed the charge and they removed it. I don't understand how our server got that we ordered Hush Puppies. The word hush puppies never came out of our mouths we were very clear that we only wanted an adult beverage.

First time in Virginia Beach and we arrived much later than anticipated and we were STARVING! This place was a 4 minute walk from our hotel so we went in reviews unread. I got the "Shrimp Cocktail", which actually wasn't a true shrimp cocktail. It was steamed shrimp already peeled and brushed with butter & Old Bay seasoning served with a side of cocktail sauce. It was delicious tho! My son got the fish & chips and loved it. The fries were fresh and hot and were coated in something tasty before fried. The fish was NOT over seasoned, which is the way I like it. It was dusted in pepper & cornmeal and lightly fried. Most of the food was overpriced as stated in other reviews, but not everything... Look at the menu before you go, maybe what you like won't be. We are here for 5 nights and plan to return there to split one of their "feast" meals as the portions look pretty generous.

My husband and I were in the mood for shrimp. Ocean House stepped up to the plate and fixed us grilled and fried shrimp. I ordered the basket because it came with hush puppies -- they would have been worth the $9 appetizer price for them alone. The fried shrimp were lightly breaded. Would definitely return.

We ate dinner here. With three-3- other couples. A lot of food. Service was good. Not a cheap place to eat. I don’t like that the tip is included with the bill.

We were shopping across the street and this restaurant was recommended. The atmosphere is casual with large tables and booths inside and also had outdoor seating and a second level.(To watch the sunset and of coarse enjoy a beverage) We ordered the mini bucket of boiled shrimp which included a ton of boiled shrimp, chicken fingers, fried shrimp, hush puppies, fried fish, boiled potatoes and an ear of corn. Best seafood we’ve had since coming to VB! The batter on the fried food was light and delicious. The amount was beyond what was expected in a mini bucket! We ate until we were full! Did I say we shared one mini bucket! The crab dip is so good I could have eaten it with a spoon. The floor manager pitched in to help and was sooo nice and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

This is the 2nd time in 3 years we've come here and have left happy. This place is not crowded yet it sits on the boardwalk with a good view and the food is excellent. Our waitress did a fantastic job, allowing us to make some changes to their normal menu due to food issues. We will come backX!X

They have the best crab boil on the boardwalk, and at the best price. Upstairs there is a rooftop with a fantastic view of the ocean, incredibly friendly staff, a great spot for people watching. We happily returned there while on a week's vacation nearby. We ate/drank at many places on the boardwalk, and this was the best experience.

The fact that the restaurant is actually on the boardwalk makes it interesting, but the choice of food was also pretty good. We had a combination plate, Oceanhouse Steampot, which was very good for $36.99. The snowcrab legs were tasty and full, clams were fesh and with a very tasty sauce, shrimps were enormous and flavorful. the corn and the potatoes were also very good and complemented the dish very well.

To start if I could give any fewer stars for a review I would, also I don’t typically write reviews. To everyone reading this save your time and money and go somewhere else. After having difficulty with our meals and a conversation with the supposed chef, the food here is handled massively incorrect. With a combination of shriveled up snow crab legs and clams that were nether living when cooked but came out like raisins. Upon leaving after the hassle of paying no less than the $140 for this problematic meal the wait staff clapped, yelled and flicked us off. I wish no one the potential harm of coming here….

We decided to have a late lunch by the beach and this place is perfect coz it's right there at the oceanfront. My son and I ordered Crabcake, my wife and other son ordered Tuna and my third son ordered chicken. Food was great and we all enjoyed what we ordered. Price is average. This is a 2-level restaurant and we decided to eat on the 2nd floor overlooking the beach. Ambience is 4 out of 5, restroom updating would be nice. Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes. I would. Would we go back and eat again? Yes, we would.
