Great little shop inside the hotel I was staying at. Very simple but amazing. The staff service is great they truly take care of you. Only thing I don’t like is the coffee options. I’m a cold coffee drinker and they only serve hot and serve the exact same coffee cold. Otherwise it’s great! Very in expensive as well

I remember the old Belvedere that was in the old Belvedere hotel that was torn down. Now it is located further south down the strip inside the new Moxy hotel and rebranded Belvedere South. Cleaner, sleaker, and newer, but not the same place. Open about 3 months when we went (9/1/2025) and they had time to work out the kinks. But alas they haven’t. Service was slooowww. Slow to take the order, get coffee, water, slow to refill coffee cups, and then way slow to get and pay the bill - despite others waiting (not a lot of seating so don’t go with a big group).

We will give them the benefit of the doubt and return in a few months but they have a long way to go to catch up to the established breakfast places along the Virginia Beach strip.

I drove from Norfolk, craving breakfast at The Belvedere. After waiting 25 minutes at the counter and speaking to three of the waitstaff, I was utterly ignored, and the place wasn’t even crowded. This was unacceptable, and I will never return.

The Belvedere is pure magic. Beth, our waitress, was warm, welcoming, and made us feel like family from the second we sat down. Christy, the GM, clearly pours her heart into the place - you can feel it in the atmosphere and the way everything runs with genuine care. The food? Absolutely sensational, like it was made with mom’s love but served with a touch of polish that makes it unforgettable. Every bite was comforting, soulful, and so satisfying. Honestly, Belvedere isn’t just a diner, it’s an experience I can’t wait to have again.

The food… fantastic. The service… friendly as ever. Beth is doing an amazing job at operating this diner after it has been re-opened and we couldn’t have had a better experience. This diner feels like a family, and the service makes you feel like your mother is serving you breakfast again like when you were a kid. If you’re in VA Beach, this is a GO-TO!

Excellent diner. We had breakfast here both mornings we stayed in town. Christine was great. Helping serve and cook so she was very busy but she still made sure we were taken care of.

I went to the old location about 7 years ago with my grandfather. It was great. The new location is nice but they had slow service even though there wasn’t a lot of people eating. The food was decent but nothing crazy to rave about. The new location is a very nice set up. Just as small as the old one though. Coulda made it a little bigger but that may have hurt the charm.

Christie is the absolute best! The food is great and the price varies from $9-$15 per meal. Portions are large and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere is a 50s diner vibe with a modern twist. As long as Christie is here, this is where I will be for breakfast!

Visited this restaurant for a quick breakfast. Good food, except the fact that they do not serve any espresso based drinks such as Cappuccino, Latte, etc.

We used to love this place. We stay at the Moxy all the time and it was always a hidden gem with wonderful breakfast and service. Came back for Labor Day weekend to find it under new management. They removed our favorite, the breakfast burrito, the bacon was burnt to the point it looked like it barely survived a house fire, the hash browns tasted like they were soaked in expired canola oil, and our server was inattentive and forgot our drinks from the bar. She also never refilled our coffee. Not sure we’ll ever be back.

Honestly it’s a pretty casual place for a quick eat. Not bad at all but pretty average to good on a scale, the real spark that would make you come back is the amazing servers. The sweetest people ever and really give you a great welcoming atmosphere. Always talkative, always sweet, really puts you in a good mood!

Food when you get it, is pretty good. Service however is horribly slow and chaotic. I dont necessarily blame the service staff as they only have one line cook with one helper. For the amount of seats they have, they need at least one more cook.

The most hospitable and welcoming experience of our 4 day stay in Virginia Beach. The food was delicious and the staff was by far, the most friendly and accommodating that I’ve interacted with in years. The grill is in full view and the cooks wore gloves when preparing food. Even the staff side conversations were mindful and professional. Everyone seemed to be happy to be at work. This is a true gem, highly recommend!
