Our first visit there was totally awesome! The atmosphere was great, positive staff members and the owner is such a warm-hearted down to earth beautiful lady. My wife and I will be returning soon for dinner. Hey, if you're looking for great soul food in a wonderful atmosphere, you must go to the Black eyed peas in Lynnhaven Mall. You have to try the cornbread I can eat a pan of it. 😂
This place needs more love, the food was amazing and I even got to meet the cook as he was the only one working at the time that I went. very kind man who served us with really good food we tried a verity of sides and got there Jimbo chicken wings witch were really great can’t believe I’ve lived in Virginia Beach this long and didn’t know about this great soul food.
Hubby and I were leaving the beach and wanted to grab a bite before hitting the road to get home. I came across this in a search. Great choice!!!! Here's what we ordered. Smothered turkey wing with smashed potatoes and brussel sprouts, grilled shrimp, buttered lima beans and black eyed peas. I don't think you can go wrong with any option and don't get me started on that CORNBREAD 💯
