My wife and I have been to bubba and frank's restaurant in Virginia beach on a few occasions and each time it has slowly gotten worse. My wife ordered a burger and they told us that there were none in-stock until the next day. Secondly, My wife ordered some potato salad which was also out of stock until the next day. Lastly, out of frustration, My wife ordered a simple hot dog meal and the bun was hard. It also took a very long time to get our food and there were hardly any other guests in the building. Sadly, this will be the last time that we go to this location. The only good one left is in Carrollton, Va.

Been coming here for quite a while and I love the food. The last six times that I've been here between 1130 and 1230 for lunch, the staff is totally unprepared. No ice tea made or ice in machine. Barbecue sauce is not out, and silverware not replenished. It's like the staff shows up literally at 11 o'clock with no time for preparation whatsoever.

This was my first experience going to this location I heard the food was so so I figured I'd give it a shot and see and give my own opinion and I have to say after ordering my food I ordered the half a rack of ribs with the two sides and I must say it was terrible you can definitely tell that the ribs were sitting on the side and they just threw them onto the grill just to reheat them they were very dry ribs you figured for the price of $19 you figured you would get something extraordinary or at least close to it but it was the total opposite of that I can't see how these guys are staying in business serving food like that at that price I would definitely go somewhere else for ribs definitely not here

I just paid 61 dollars for a burger and two buffets. The food on the buffet was cold and horrible. And slim Pickens They won't be in business long. They were shorthanded, we're are the owners. I will never go back to this place.

We had a recent catering order for a surprise party! The ordering process and delivery process was super easy!! Food was great and everyone seemed to enjoy it! We will definitely use you guys again!
Sorry to say I heard good things about this place.food as good but the portion size for the price not so much. For 55.00 the 2 meats meal that should feed 4 not so much. I got a side of greens for 3.50 I got 2 to 3 bites I know greens are not that expensive. The baked beans were in the same size container. I’m sorry I don’t mind spending the money I know things have gone up but this was an 50.00 meal for 1 . Very disappointed

Food was good. We have had better. The interior hasn't changed much from when it was the other barbeque restaurant.

Food wasn’t bad but my chicken came out cold in the middle. The guy who works the cash register is quite rude but the kitchen staff who came out to do things were friendly to us.

I liked it. They had the absolute best sweet potato fries I've ever had from a restaurant. The people with me said the other location is better near Newport News.

The food can be hit or miss.It can go from Very Good to mediocre.Unless things have changed, they smoke the meats in one location (I believe Smithfield, VA) and transport them to the others. The pulled pork is usually good. (pulled pork warms up well)Last Sunday, I spend nearly $30 on a rack ribs that had been refrigerated and warmed up. They were too tough to eat.I would avoid the ribs and Chicken. The sides are average. If they can nail the consistency regularly this place would be five stars

Looking to try something different, we visited Frank N Bubba's. That turned out to be a mistake. First we walked in and there was NO ONE in sight. A gentleman came from the back and just looked at us. I was interested in the nachos, but wondered what was on them as the menu didn't say. The young man just looked at me... then turned like he was looking for someone. A moment of uncomfortable silence and another young man, with food in his beard, came from the back. He explained what was on them. I stated I would try them... he then said, "oh, wait, let me make sure we have the chips". It took him a moment to figure this out, and they were out of chips. My husband had already ordered, so I opted for the St. Louis style pulled pork entree, with cole slaw & sweet potato wedges. The only good part was the wedges. They were hot and tasty. The cole slaw was drowned in mayonnaise and had no flavor at all. The hush puppies were soggy and no flavor, the pulled pork was NOT St. Louis style, but some weird combination of Carolina style and I have no clue what.Even tho we ordered at the same time, my husband got his food a full 10 minutes before I got mine. I was just about to go ask when it was finally brought to our table. We will not be going here again!
