Not a great experience. Food was awful! The only positive was that our waitress was friendly. The butter on the untoast toast was 2 different colors. There was barely any egg on the breakfast Philly and giant chunks of bell peppers instead of slices. There were questionable (possibly previously frozen) tomatoes and onions warm to the touch 🤢 and watery sitting on top of the lettuce on the crab cake sandwich and the crab cake it self lacked everything and was gray on the inside. The sauce that was served with the crab cake sandwich had an oily film sitting on top. We lost our appetites and left for a long ride home still quite hungry. Hopefully this experience was because it was a Sunday in the office season but we won't test it to see.

We had hoped to visit our friends/owners at Log Cabin Pancake House, unknowing they were closed that day, so we wandered in here instead and WOW what a gem!!!
I had the Stuffed French Toast. The toast was perfectly seasoned with a delightful crunch to the outside, and the most delectable soft center. The 'stuffing' was a perfectly sweetened cream with sliced strawberry. The whole plate had a nice sprinkling of cinnamon sugar, and the perfectly balanced flavor of the dish left nothing lacking such that I had no need to top with syrup (though that was readily available as well).
My companion had the greek omelet with sourdough toast. The olives paired perfectly with the egg and cheese, and the sourdough toast went down real fast - crunchy with the perfect spread of butter which rounded out the plate.
Our server was sweet and attentive and went out of the way to make our experience pleasant.
By the way, the cinnamon maple latte was To Die For!!

My family was unable to take our holiday cruise so we decided to have a "Dockside Staycation" on dry land in VA Beach.
On our last day together we were able to enjoy a hot buffett meal with a la carte options at Cafe Atlantic.
It featured, eggs made to order, a large variety of drinks, four types of breakfast meats (turkey chicken, pork, and beef), waffle iron waffles & pancakes, pastries, two types of potatoes, grits and much more.
I spoke with the cafe manager who offered us the back room for privacy due to our group size. We were able to adjust the tables to eat family style to enjoy our time together before hitting the road to return to homes out of state.
We can not thank them enough for their hospitality and the accommodations allowed.
Clean, quaint atmosphere with good music and friendly service.
Please check them out if in Va Beach. 706 Atlantic Avenue.
Parking: 8-10 spot right beside the restaraunt. Parking garage right next door.
Wheelchair accessibility: There were not steps. Ground level.

Dont usually do reviews buttttt @cafe atlantic on the oceanfront is fireeeee! My favorite meal in this entire world is biscuits&gravy and ive been searching in the 757 for some good ole biscuits&gravy for about 8 years now and the best ive found is hardees lol🙄 i give everyone credit because im so picky with the gravy but if you mess up the biscuit you just suck, plain and simple! Most places either have a good biscuit or good gravy.. and i finally found one with both! Not to mention it was a buffet and they also got a menu to order from if you dont want the buffet!!! The sausage was the best along with 2 different kinds of breakfast potatoes and they made me a fresh egg omelet upon request! I can't stress this enough if you're a fan of some good ole biscuits and gravy please run to cafe atlantic the environment was super dope along with the music and staff!!!! 20$ breakfast buffet!🦄🤤🤑 could've done better pics but i was distracted by the wonderful food and then was super stuffed and ready to go!!! 10/10 will go back everytime im at the oceanfront! I don’t understand why this place has so many bad reviews Great experience waiter was on it very helpful the food was great and it was the only place we’ve went to get food under 50 dollars! They have a buffet it closes 12-1pm after everybody leaves great food at this place though 10/10

Cold breakfast area with an abundant selection of fruits, pudding, etc.
Adult buffet is about $20..... Childrens buffet is roughly $12.
There is also the option of ordering from the menu, quite the selection there too!
The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly!
