Calypso Bar & Grill

Good classic bar and grill. Slow service even when not very busy Sun evening in August. Also not great value for what paid especially for the drinks. Not a big fan of built in gratuity either even tho waitress was polite/attentive

Really really good food for the price I spent 36$ including tip and got orange juice the seared tuna, and 6 oysters, and it was all really good and fresh with fast service.

I was staying at the hotel next door. And Thursday is Karaoke night which was so much fun. The staff and the customers were welcoming and fun. I can't wait to make another trip.

I don’t even know where to start. I think it’s suitable to start at first impressions walking in. Firstly, the floors were really dirty and smell was really bad. Customer service was really bad. I had to wait almost 15mins before I actually went in to ask for menus. After a while, we were greeted by our well mannered waitress, Shayla☺️, she was so kind and attentive when speaking to us. Anyways, I had some special instructions for my burger which I didn’t receive but deemed it as fine, but what i didn’t like is that I received a COLD Burger! Like it was taken out the fridge and slapped on. I had lemonade for drink which was a tad bit sour, I had to add water. I left feeling unsatisfied but still left a tip because Shayla was sweet and so kind.
In essence, everything felt rushed. I get that it might be busy, but customer service is everything.
Also, when preparing drinks or food, pretend like you are making it for yourself and ask, would I eat or drink this?

Cheap and overpriced. Was very expensive for this level of quality. Would not recommend for anything other than a bar food and get drunk spot

The environment here was relaxing, live band great, & being able to see the beach & be close to the beach was great. However, everything was going left here today. The steamer was down, no co2 for draft beer/soda, no pineapple juice, & I ordered the Rasta pasta which was unacceptable. My man ordered the seafood platter (fried) which he expressed the crab cake needed lots of work. The waitress was friendly & the manager was understanding & offered something different to eat. Considering the business had some challenges on this day, they did amazing as a team.

The female bartender was very rude.
I saw two sets of customers leaving because of her. Unless she knows you she will not give you good service. I will not be going back there because of her.

No view of beach. Super noisy. Service was great. Food was good. The price are double what I would normally spend on food of that quality. Wouldn’t bother. We spent 150 for four people with only one beverage. Enter from the beach side otherwise nobody will help you or even tell you where to find the hostess.

Had a great lunch at calypso the other day on the ocean front, all the food came out great ! Our server was very friendly and new about the menus very well, definitely coming back again for more meals and great vibes as always
