This was our first time visiting this establishment and our experience has been a very disappointing one. Carib Shack prides it's as a Caribbean Food restaurant, but it should be made know that if you're going to use the name Caribbean attached, be sure to have the spices and Caribbean flavors to go along, NOT SALT OR PEPPER, but seasoning.
My husband and I ordered the blackened salmon slider and the jerk chicken empanada and quite honestly if it was allowed to return food orders a refund would be requested.
The Salmon slider gets 1 out of 5 rating and the Jerk chicken empanada a solid 0, the food had absolutely no taste, the chicken we can only pray and hope it was chicken, we are still in search of the jerk seasoning flavor.
I would not recommend this establishment but to the owner and the chef if you're not of Caribbean background or if you are I'll like to recommend you go to your food supply outlet and purchase GRACE JAMAICAN JERK SEASONING BOTH IN MILD AND HOT for all your Jerk menu items.

My husband and I are in VA Beach for the weekend and we saw this place on tv. I’m glad we came because the customer service and food is delicious! I had the Caribbean Cauliflower and Stewed Chicken. My husband had Jerk Sandwich and Fried Okra. We’ll definitely be back! This is a carry out only, only downside.

Amazing jerk chicken bowl. Very flavorful

The food is fresh and delicious, the service is excellent, the owners are very friendly. If you don’t order ahead, you will have to wait a little bit, which is a good thing. This food is so fresh it taste like your grandma just whipped it up, except that is exactly what happened. They make everything mouthwateringly fresh and the food is sublimely delicious. For a whole $15 I have loaded, french fries with jerk beef with a portion size enough to last me three meals. You can go to Wendy’s and spend that much and get nothing. That’s the other thing about this place, the prices are incredibly reasonable. This is a family owned amazing place to go and the girl always has a smile on her face. Definitely don’t miss this place! Your loss if you do!! Yummmmm

I work at a near by shop and it is so convenient to be able to order online and walk a block over and have the amazing food ready to go. There are so many good options but I highly highly recommend any other the burgers or any of the burritos. The couple that owns it is there working every day and they are so both the nicest people and take such good care of my coworkers and I. I recommend this to everyone.

I don't understand how this place has a high rating I chose this spot because it seemed good even the reviews. We ordered and it was chaos. I ordered the stew chicken and curry potatoes and my boyfriend ordered the chicken sandwich and It was terrible. The chicken sandwich was HIGHLY burnt all black. No season at all. The tomato on it was old. The bacon was fried so hard my boyfriend literally choked on it. The curry potatoes were bitter. The stew chicken didn't even have no sauce or gravy the rice and peas were okay. We were so excited to try from here and had so much hope that the food would be amazing only for it to be a disaster.

I finally
got to try out Carib Shack in Virginia Beach, and let me tell you—it did NOT disappoint! This spot has been featured on the Food Network, and even Guy Fieri came through, so I had high expectations.

I got to meet one of the owners, Stephanie, and she was SO sweet! I was on a quick 30-minute lunch break and asked her what she recommended. Without hesitation, she suggested the jerk shrimp bowl, and wow—I was definitely impressed. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The rice and peas alone? I could eat that by itself! She told me they cook it with coconut milk, and you can really taste that extra richness. The cabbage was flavorful, and the jerk shrimp? Phenomenal. And let’s talk about that avocado sauce—I discovered it toward the end of my meal, and I wish I had found it sooner!

This is mostly a takeout spot, but they do have a couple of tables outside if you want to sit and eat. I also got to snap a picture in front of Guy’s photo, which was a fun touch!

I’m already planning my next visit because I need to try their tacos and burgers. If you haven’t been yet, definitely check them out—and if you can, catch their Food Network episode!

Talk about a true family-owned business serving up some of the most flavorful food in the 757. Although this place has been on TV, I’d still love to consider it one of the hidden gems in va beach. Nestled in a shopping center off of Shore Drive, this take out only place does not disappoint. We tried the Crunchwrap with the Jamaican beef patty inside (insanely delicious), the classic Cuban sandwich, the loaded fries with jerk beef, the CBR chicken sandwich, and a bowl with jerk pork and chicken! I forgot to take pictures of everything because it was so delicious! Definitely will be back, and will for sure let everyone I know about this place!

Wheverever we are even remotely in the area we make a point to stop at Carib Shack. The owners are so nice and friendly, the food is delicious and served fast and hot! We are working our way through the menu and have loved everything so far. Definitley give them a try!
