Delicious flavors with beautifully prepared food!

The food was outstanding especially the marinated beef hearts. The portions are huge for the entrees. I would definitely recommend.

Ceviche was good. But the old lady has a nasty attitude.

Cholo’s has changed ownership several times over the years. I sit down now and I can look at the decor of Art and get a small taste of Peruvian culture. The restaurant is modernized.

My wife loves ceviche, in this place in Virginia Beach is her favorite place to go for ceviche.
Years ago, they still have fountain drinks, now they advertise Pepsi products and I was stuck with a Diet Coke for three dollars. That’s pretty bad for a can of soda, I can understand if it was for Inca Kola.

The service wasn’t terrible either .. ended up having Passion fruit pie. It was slightly sweet, without being overbearing. When I have desserts, I don’t feel like it needs to be run over with a sugar truck, so the dessert was just right.

👍🏽Great seasoning, steak had the charred edges that Peruvians enjoy. Remember to always ask for the traditional Peruvian sauce (Aji)- goes great with the fries.
👎🏽 Small portion of rice 🍚. Would have enjoyed more rice to soak up the lomo juice towards the end.
Above all, it was a great experience. I’d been eating here since 2010.

Not bad but not like I remember. I went there a long time ago and literally would order the same thing each time the Aguadito Soup and Arroz Con Pollo. I went there again for the first time in a long time today and ordered just the Aguadito Soup and unfortunately I was just so sad it is not like it used to be. They used to have the pieces of chicken on the bone floating in the soup and you could tell it cooked in there for a while and fell off the bone like this delicious flavorful tender meat and the soup had this super developed flavor and today it just is not comparable. Dont get me wrong it tasted good/ok but just does not have the complexity it used to. $12 for this was fine when I thought it would be like before but you can tell how the chicken was just cut up into pieces in the soup. Very disappointed. I would pay even $20 for that soup if and only if it was what it used to be but I probably wont come back. Still recommend if you’ve never eaten that soup before but it’s clear the quality and time put into making this soup is not up to the same standard. Wish I was given a spoon to go. Always feel kind weird going in there, its clean and quiet but don’t sense a genuine friendliness and feel uncomfortable. The cashier/host was okay nothing he did was bad or good. Just an ok experience. It’s funny one of my exes took me here for the first time years ago but I guess like everything associated with the exs… just isn’t good enough lol. If you guys ever post a photo of your soup looking like it used to I’ll be back. Or maybe I’ll try again in a few years who knows.

Very clean and the food was fresh and delicious! Service was also excellent! And we came in an hour before close and was a wonderful experience!

This chicken is flavored to the Gawds but it's sooo dryyyy....I can't even eat it. Wasted money. What is this cake???????? It's jello and canned peaches on top, cake in the middle....and wtf

Delicious Peruvian food, fresh seafood, Ceviche, their chicken is amazing, owners are always on site, making sure every plate that leaves the kitchen is perfect. Try this place out, you'll come back.
