I came here with my family after a long vacation, looking forward to a good meal. Instead, it turned into a complete disaster.
First, we checked in and were told there would be a short wait. After sitting there for nearly 40 minutes, a staff member casually tells us the “computer deleted our spot in line”, which was clearly a lie, since they had simply forgotten to put us in. No apology, no urgency, just excuses.
When we were finally seated (already frustrated and hungry), we placed our order. After another 40 minutes, our server comes to the table and says, “I forgot to place your order.” No words. My entire family, including parents, were starving while we sat there wasting more of our time because of this place’s complete incompetence.
And what did management do to make it right? Offered me a measly $10 gift card as if that somehow makes up for their total lack of professionalism and basic customer service.
This restaurant clearly does not care about its customers or their experience. Avoid this place at all costs. There are far better places where you’ll actually be treated with respect, this one clearly isn’t one of them.
Great service. My server Kyra was well informed and so pleasant. I will be back
Food was not cooked and service was lacking. It was not busy.
Me and my friends have been to citrus regularly a few times over the past few months. Usually we get amazing service. However this time was different. I know the stigma exist of teenagers not tipping well, but this is no excuse to treat a customer indifferently. (me and my friends go out to eat regularly as well. We always tip more than 30%)
It started with me, and my other friend got sat down while we waited for our other friend to arrive (we had three total). After we were sat by the host , we weren’t greeted at all by our server. However, as we were waiting for our friend we watched tables in our severe section get greeted and have full conversations for her tables.
Then our server came in rush and quickly placed down our waters then walked away never asking if we wanted anything to drink other than water. She briefly asked if we were waiting for one more then left. She never came back to the table until 25 minutes later after when she was reminded of us from the table next to us, who’s order she had just taken.
It was also very obvious that she forgot to ring our food In the kitchen, while the other table beside us got their food about 20 minutes earlier than us, even though our orders were taken around the same time.
I believe our server‘s name was Kyra. She had pink hair. This was unacceptable and unfair. All three of us have worked in the restaurant industry for years, and were pretty quick to understand what was happening.
So good. Great options. Each meal was so yummy. Happy, friendly service. Bright and clean atmosphere.
Although a bit expensive the food is of superior quality and plentiful. One of my favorite places when visiting Virginia Beach. Highly recommend.
I got the elote steak bowl with chicken. It was sooo good a little spicy but the flavors are amazing.
Very good place to eat.
Usually enjoy the food here. The scrambled eggs I got were not scrambled well enough, something to consider if you're looking to dine here. I'll remember to request this for next time. Everything else was good.
They don't know how to cook a steak medium rare! The first one was mostly well done except a small piece was medium then the chef came by and told me that she couldn't do the steak any rarer which is strange because it wasn't rare at all. Then the second steak was mostly raw. The waiter told me that they were taking it off my bill and they gave me $4.50 discount instead for a raw steak that I brought home, cooked some and gave to my dog.
I keep trying this restaurant hoping it will get better and it doesn't. Paying for a steak that I couldn't eat. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and inviting. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the bacon perfectly crisp, and the rosemary Parmesan home fries were bursting with flavor—crispy, golden, and unforgettable.
The hash brown cake had the perfect texture, the French toast was soft and sweet with a generous dusting of powdered sugar, and the blueberry pancakes were thick, buttery, and filled with juicy berries in every bite. The pineapple juice was a bright, refreshing highlight that tasted freshly squeezed.
Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere made us want to stay longer. If you’re looking for a brunch spot that delivers on flavor, presentation, and hospitality—Citrus is a must-visit.
Had the Vegan bowl and it was amazing!
I have heard so many good things about citrus over the years and finally, had a chance to get some takeout today. They use styrofoam packaging which I assume is the problem. My daughter got biscuits and gravy, and I got an egg burrito (or equivalent) with hash browns. Everything tasted and smelled very heavily of plastic, and it was inedible. We had such a busy day, which is why we did takeout so I don' tried to call, but much later and never was able to reach anybody. I'm hoping the manager will make him or herself a to go package in your containers and taste it for yourself because it was wretched, and you should not be serving that to anybody.
My husband said his ham egg and cheese on sour dough bread was the best he'd ever had. Al was a superb server!! Great service!
Great food! One of my favorite breakfast places in VB!
