Cool little salad & sandwich shop in VB with some good healthy & GF options. Conveniently located near NAS Oceana. The blackened tuna bowl was tasty with plenty of greens and veggies. Service was friendly.

The food was amazing!!!! Blackened Tuna tasted like filet mignon, it was so good! The portobello mushrooms, caramelized apples, and grilled vegetables were the best I've ever eaten. We can't wait to come back tomorrow to try out the brunch! A must try!

We stayed at The Oceanfront Inn and was lucky enough to dine at Clayton’s on their first weekend open at the hotel. What a fantastic experience! The food, the staff, the view, the restaurant…WOW!! If you are in Virginia Beach visiting or living this is a must try. I can’t say enough good things about this place!! Best of luck to all of you at Clayton’s, you will do amazing!!

I loved this experience, I ordered the Oysters & Mussles (I should have just got the oysters, I don't like red sauce) however, they were both VERY delicious. I came during HH, so the apps were half off! The quantity on the oysters was more then I expected which was a pleasant surprise. For my entree I got the Clayton's famous, Butter Burger -- I don't even eat beef often but I would eat one of these burgers everyday, literally. Its an experience/taste that I can't even explain, it truly is a one of a kind food experience. My waiter was great, she was there on her own serving but she did an amazing job of making sure I was taken care of the entire time. Clayton's has an open room layout, so you can see the cooks creating your dish which is always exciting for a hungry person like myself. Overall: 10/10 experience, highly recommend, can't wait to go back and try more things & I will hopefully take pictures next time haha.

So so good from start to finish. Our family has very different dietary preferences and tastes and everyone had something they loved. We enjoyed the Reuben, the Butter Burger, the Kale Caesar, and the Chicken Sandwich.The food was so nicely cooked, well seasoned, big portions and beautifully presented. Service was kind and friendly.By far our best experience eating in VA Beach in food quality and service. Highly recommend!

Exceptional hospitality the moment you walk in the door with complementary herbal water as well as a friendly face and unbelievable smells. It's beyond the deli. They've created an environment that I want to eat every meal in. It's easy to when the menu is a tastebud party from head to toe. Coastal Castle meatloaf sando is an absolute must. If somebody asked me what my final meal was it would be this!
Food was beyond excellent. I got the shrimp and grits. Companion got the brisket chili and we both think we got the best version of them we have ever had anywhere. He also got the muffeletta sandwich and that was really good. Only one waitress and she was fabulous and hustled. Place smells like wood smoke, which I love but my coat smelled strongly of it for a few days. (Should have left it in the car). Mostly high tables with bar stools so keep that in mind if you are bringing elderly or little kids. Great food, great vibe. So glad we found this place.

Service was very good which I think made up for the so so food. I guess my biggest surprise was having bbq sauce on pastrami. It took away the taste of pastrami but I guess some people like it like that since it was suggested to me to come here for the pastrami. If you are looking for a thinly sliced pastrami sandwich with pickles and mustard, this isn't it. Service and ambiance is very nice.

Our family loves Clayton's Counter - very conveniently located on Oceana Blvd near NAS Oceana. Amazing food and reasonable drinks. Open grill to watch the Award winning Butter Burger cooking process! Service is excellent & ambiance is great. High tops and larger tables.

Love the vibe of the place. The booth in the back is perfect for our big group. We had 2 families, total of 5 adults and 5 kids with us, and it fit us all comfortably. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I got the Smoked Brisket Flatbread. Chefs kiss to that! It had so much flavor! There was plenty of brisket, and it was so filling. My husband got the NC Blackened Tuna Bowl. The tuna was cooked to perfection. The apple cider reduction pulled the entire meal together. I think I could use that reduction on anything and everything I eat, it was so good! My kids had the kids grilled cheese and the cheese pizza. The pizza was on a Flatbread, and they used fresh mozzarella. My daughter who got the grilled cheese, hurt my feelings and said it was better than the grilled cheese I make at home. Haha. My kids never finish their meals, but they cleaned their plates. We will definitely be back sooner than later!

First time...ordered a rueben.... By no stretch of the imagination should they have called it that! The meat was so smoky that it tasted like a barbecue pork. ! Have been looking for a new place to get a Reuben since 58 deli closed. I guess my search continues !
