This was my second time dining at cobalt grille. This is a definitely recommend restaurant to dine at.

Despite the positive ratings and appealing menu, our experience and food were mediocre at best. Yes, we did go on a busy Saturday night. Even so, service was slower than it should have been, i.e. 30 min for drinks and ~45 min for entrees to appear. Our steak frite was decent -- properly cooked with a flavorful sauce and crisy fries. Our two fish dishes (salmon and tuna) were overcooked -- perhaps while waiting on a warmer far too long before they reached our table. Still, the sauces were bland, adding little to the tough fish. Overall, I came away feeling that it was fairly pricey for a meal where the beer (canned) was the high point.

We had two of the specials-both fish-and they were delicious! Server was attentive and friendly. Drinks were sit on.

Food and service were great, but the noise level was very uncomfortable and made talking in difficult

Amazing dinner for New Year's Eve! We were lucky enough to be seated at the raised chef's table near the kitchen. It was a large banquet style, super private and great for conversation. Husband loved his Figgin' Serious drink and the goat cheese app was perfect for 4. The Beef Wellington special was well seasoned and delivered a perfect med rare. The restaurant was hopping with a lively party like vibe of happy diners. The chef, host and wait staff were super attentive and gracious. Homemade Choco lava cake, crème brûlée and the coffee drink prepared table side, bookended a night out that felt big city special.

We have been here many times and always a good meal with good conversation. Unfortunately this night they had a band in the dining area (and not the bar) that made conversation impossible. It really ruined the experience for us. Not sure how often they have a band in but not what we were looking for. Not the atmosphere one would expect for a fine dining experience.

Betsy is the best! She is why we insist on sitting at the bar. The food and drinks are superior, and the attention to detail second to none. Customers for life!

A great meal at Cobalt!! The beef Wellington was incredible and our server Lisa was on point.

Service was slow and not great even though the place was unusually empty on a Wednesday night? Entree sauce was cold but flavorful. The restaurant smelled of burning fish due to a fan not working or something in the kitchen. Did not have to courage to send cold entree back due to the service being so slow. We have been going here on and off for 20 years. It may need some manager/owner attention as it seems to have declined somewhat? May have been an off night? It used to be EXCEPTIONAL.

A perfect neighborhood restaurant. Good food, great service, and the atmosphere is always energetic. Burgers are OUTSTANDING!

worst dining experience ever. turkey, dressing and sides were tasteless and seemed it was from school cafeteria in 1950s. Would not return....... ever !

Notice for patrons with food allergies! I had Thanksgiving dinner at the Cobalt Grille. The staff was really pleasant and I notified our server of a shellfish and fish allergy. I had the turkey dinner, but by the time I got home, I was ill with an allergic reaction (cross contamination?). I was out of commission for a day, in which we had to find a pharmacy open on Thanksgiving for allergy and stomach meds. I understand allergies can be annoying to restaurants, but I bought a dinner which I lost shortly after and lost a vacation day in the process. Not to say this will happen to you, but just sharing this story so others can be prepared. ** Update: The manager called me and left a really nice message. The restaurant takes allergies seriously and they don't know how my situation happened. I'm not sure either, but it sounds like they do have a system to keep foods separate in the kitchen. Thanks for the message!

I always have an outstanding dinner at Cobalt Grille. Chef and co-owner Alvin Williams' creations are inventive and delicious. Gary Black, the other co-owner, is always accommodating and friendly. The staff is very attentive to your needs. And Arden is a supremely talented sommelier. Their wine selection is extensive, and their curated cocktails are sooo yummy! Cobalt is my "go to" for any special occasion, anytime I have company in town, anytime I'm meeting friends for happy hour, anytime I crave a really good burger (Tuesday burger night is legendary) , or just anytime at all. I highly recommend this restaurant. My only complaint is that they do not have their amazing chocolate chip creme brulee on the menu all of the time!!!! (And when they have rockfish as a special- get it!!)
