Good food, but the service wasn’t the best. I likely won’t return.

Hearty meals best for breakfast or brunch on the weekend. Some items were amazing while others were amiss. Highly recommend the chicken friend mushrooms. Do not recommend the big salad since most of the root vegetables were undercooked and hard in the middle.

Below average food. Our server was rude and inattentive.

I lovvvee Commune! I wish I could go everyday! 😅 Last time I went, I got the Belgium waffle made with cornmeal with amazing butter & syrup, with fried chicken & a sunny side egg. Ughhhhh freaking drooling! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 if youre reading reviews to determine whether to go, GO! fresh, whole, delicious food!

Been a while since I’ve been here but I have come a couple of times including one of my birthdays. I remember loving the burnt honey latte and I’ve never had a bad experience

Came in and were sat down pretty quickly. Our waitress was short and seemed as if she was working a double shift. Food was actually very good pulled pork hash and biscuits were very good. But…. Absolutely no way would I recommend or come back. Not sure why a “Farm to Table “ restaurant especially one called Commune would be so expensive! Two people 100 bucks!! I thought judging by the name “Commune” the table next to me would pick up some of the cost.

As soon as we pulled into Virginia Beach, we wanted to check out the Vibe! After looking at reviews, we decided we had to try Commune and we were not disappointed! The salad was so fresh, exactly what I needed and my companion was so pleased she could get a delicious breakfast sandwich. The free Valet Parking was a great bonus!

The drinks were amazing (turmeric black pepper latte & Peanut Butter & Honey). If you like it sweeter, there's cane sugar at the table.

The food was wholesome and tasty (sweet potato bowl & corned beef hash)

The atmosphere was chill and calm. Lovely, calm music filled the air while we dined.

We will be back.

Everything was local, natural, and delicious. Texture of everything was beautiful, bursting with flavor. Chicken was moist and seasoned, waffle was gorgeously textured and almost fruity from the corn, the sandwich was juicy and buttery and flavorful with so many textures marrying together! It felt like all the food was prepared with respect for its origins, and that came through wonderfully. Literally the only thing that didn’t totally delight me, was that the holly tea just wasn’t my thing, as it’s more savory than tea-like, but I’m still glad I tried it! It was cool to have a truly local option! I loved this place, would love to go back someday, if I’m ever back in VA Beach!

We enjoyed this interesting restaurant. Communal seating - you will likely not sit at a table alone. We had two others at the other end of the table. It seemed as if this was the norm: large farm table with different parties at each end of the table.
I enjoyed my fried rice bowl. My husband had the Commune Burger and said it was tasty but needed some substance. Each time he took a bite the burger patty squeezed out.
Excellent service. Nothing to damper the sound so it is a bit noisy.

Just left this place 20 mins ago to hit a brunch location a street over due to the lack of service we experienced at Commune Real Food. In town for the weekend and heard great things about Commune so i took coworkers there to finally check it out. The atmosphere was great and earthy. However we were seated and not one waitress addressed us with silverwear, water, or just acknowledgement. We waved over the hostess and let them know if we can be seen and she blanked stared us to no assistance. My coworkers and myself got up after not being acknowledged 28 mins into being seated. Highly dissatisfied as Commune looked so promising. I do not think i will revisit here as I don't want to embarrass myself or my coworkers of talking up this business.

Jaimie provided excellent service and was very attentive, taking the time to explain the menu thoroughly. I appreciate the farm-to-table concept, which adds a fresh and considerate touch to the dining experience. While the prices are on the higher side, the food is flavorful and well-prepared. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is professional and welcoming. It

I was honestly surprised by all the five stars for this place. We found the food extremely underwhelming due to the price and the quality you get. The scrambled eggs weren't cooked completely.
