Commune in Virginia Beach positions itself as a thoughtful, farm-to-table spot, but the experience fell flat. While a few entrées had promise, the overall impression was marred by careless choices and service that lacked any real sense of hospitality. The biggest misstep came from the kids’ menu: the waffle did not state it was made with cornmeal. That omission matters — it’s not a minor detail when you’re serving children. We sent it back, but the restaurant still chose...

I had such a wonderful experience at this place. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were equally impressive. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend!!!
