Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Virginia Beach

I have normally had a really great experience but this visit was not. The server was distracted and slow. She even relayed she had a long night. My order was wrong and my salmon was so over cooked I couldn't eat it. I don't believe it was the fault of the cook but most likely our server who left my food sit for a while. Other tables that came in 15 and 29 minutes later were served 10 minutes before our table. The rest of my family's food was good and correct.

The service was very good! Very kind and courteous hostess and wait staff. The atmosphere was also very nice and had good vibes. Unfortunately, I can't say that about the food. The food was either unseasoned or overcooked. For example , I had the crab and lobster bisque that had no crab and lobster. It was just vegetable. I also had the risotto with shrimp and scallops. The seafood was overcooked and the risotto was mushy. My husband had the chicken, which was overcooked and unseasoned. Definitely disappointed as we saw good reviews and it was our first time at Coopers.

Ive been to Cooper Hawks several times and the food and service has always been good except this time. It took 30 minutes to get my food and when it did arrive it was lukewarm to cold and tasted like it had been sitting around for awhile. The manager did comp the food items that came late which was appreciated. Please do better the next time.

Normally a great experience but the waiter makes all the difference. She had too many tables so our hour and 15min dinner was actually over 2 hrs from just waiting for her. “Restaurant Limbo” as they say...

Did the Wine tasting. Excellent Dinner was good as usual...just wish prices weren't so high (Senior Citizen so I got to watch my money)

The venue is beautiful. The food was good but we expected more for the price. The service was slower than expected. We waited 45 mins for three simple dishes. While the dishes tasted good the portions were smaller than expected. Overall it was a good experience. I would recommend you try Cooper's Hawk and judge for yourself.

The food and drinks are always amazing. They were busy on Saturday night but service was so slow. It took so long to get drinks but glad we had bottles of wine since we sat so long waiting to order and waiting for bread and waiting for food. Our waiter attempted to apologize once and said we would get dessert but never did. Hoping something was off and this isn't a regular occurrence as the food and ambiance are great

We don't typically go out to eat on the weekends , but we were celebrating our son's girlfriend's birthday.... It was great food, wonderful service, as always. The noise level was way louder than usual... but I think it was because we were not used to the Saturday evening crowd... it did tone down after the large party at the tasting bar went to their table outside. We have always enjoyed our meals and drinks at this location for the last six years! I look forward to going back for more soon!

AWFUL RESTAURANT. Service was abominable and rude. Had Open Table Reservations and reservation was not honored. Seated us thirty minutes late, then gave us a table and made us wait almost over 30 minutes to take our order. They asked us at beginning if we were members of their club and when we said "no", then completely ignored us! DO NOT GO THIS RESTAURANT!

Great food and good service! Cooper's Hawk is my favorite restaurant. The food is great and the service is on point. I always look forward to the next time.

I always have a great time here. This last time, our server Nyeshia (sp?) was fantastic- she was friendly and she paced our service so well! The manager was gracious and understanding when I (mistakenly…yikes) thought I was double charged during a previous visit. Thank you!

Dinner was delicious, the wine paired very well with our meal and our server was very attentive.

We had a less than nice evening out for my wife’s birthday. We showed up without a reservation and were told it would be about an hour wait. We decided that would be fine and started our wait. We noticed we were moving up the list pretty quickly and found ourselves at the top in about 40 minutes. But then it stalled. We didn’t get seated for another 50 minutes. The hostess was less than hospitable when we checked in around the hour mark.

We were literally getting ready to walk out the door when they finally called our name, or rather the girl walked around the lobby whispering our name. So we stayed.

It’s a pretty loud place inside, wine will do that to people.

My wife ordered a salad and said it was fantastic. My daughter had the spaghetti & meatballs, where were good as well. I ordered a burger that came with onion tanglers on it. I got one glob of fried onion ball on top, it wasn’t great.

Our waitress was pretty good, though it took her a while to deliver the bill to us. Overall it was not a great night. We’ve been there when it was better. I’m disappointed this was how my wife’s birthday out ended up.
