Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Virginia Beach

W/reservation, still had to wait to be seated. Then three more tables seated by us assigned to same waitress. Maria was very good, but this special meal suffered. Also, first appetizer and first entre orders (one a special) were unavailable.

We were seated very quickly, the Wait Staff was very friendly and prompt. The noise level, however, was higher than expected. We had 6 o'clock reservations and generally speaking. It was not a capacity, but it was close to it. The food was delicious. The wine was very tasty. Overall, it was a good experience.

It was our first time visiting Cooper's Hawk. When we first walked in it seems very busy in the bar area. They promptly called us to direct us to our table. It was noisy everywhere in the restaurant but nothing that would kill the good vibes. Our waitress Maria was very nice and answered all of our questions regarding the menu items. The Red wine flights were all nice wines. Their seafood chowder was well seasoned but a bit high in sodium. The braised short ribs are a must, a decent portion and absolutely delicious. I ordered the crusted grouper and that dish didn't disappoint. We highly recommend CH.

Over priced. Churrasco was cooked well, yet had not flavor. Scallops were over cooked severely and merely served 5 small ones. Calamari's batter tasted like funnel cakes dipped in grease. Cocktail menu is trash. Waitress knew nothing about the menu, and all she cared about was trying to convince us to join their wine club Over all a trash experience.

We were promptly seated, and the service was outstanding. They serve a delicious bread and overall the food was excellent. However, some in our party were less than pleased  with a bisque that was served. 

Fantastic server (Keisha (sorry if misspelled))! Enjoyed our dinner and wine. The best shrimp scampi I've had there! Hubby had rigatoni dinner and it was great!

Excellent service, great variety of food and wine. Fun place for a date or time with a friend or two!

Never disappoints! No matter what you order you will be pleased. I have been here several times and anyone I have brought with me exclaims, “I never knew this place was so awesome with outstanding food and wine and service”! I hesitate to make any suggestions as everything has been nothing less than amazing!

Mash potatoes was swimming in watery beef stock and not gravy and the short ribs did not fit the Red Wine reduced sauce description on the menu at all. The short ribs tasted like boiled beef with limited flavor, extremely bland. We ordered ginger carrot cake for dessert and there was a long dark strand of hair in the icing.

Six of us were easily accommodated at the tasting bar. We were all busy talking and moving around, but our server, Lee Ann, kept up with us no matter where we were. We had a reservation in the bar area and were quickly seated. We all enjoyed the food and wine. Our server was friendly and brought us samples as we tried different wines. Overall, it was a very satisfying visit.

Cooper's Hawk is always a favorite. Wait staff is very attentive. Nice date night location.

We were a party of three and each of us ordered a fish entree. Everyone loved their meal, and the chocolate cake was a great topper. Our server was also very good. While we got there for an early dinner, the restaurant filled up quickly and the noise level was loud enough that I had trouble hearing the person sitting across from me.

Service was rather slow last night. We had to ask multiple times for drinks. Placed a to go order and had to remind her of it after we finished the meal. Food was great.

Our service was great, the food was bland, and needed salt. The ambience was great as well, altogether. We had a good night.

This restaurant is exceptional and highly recommended.
