Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Virginia Beach

I stopped in on a Tuesday evening with my spouse and two friends. We enjoyed a wine tasting, which was a first for our friends, as well as a meal in the bar area. The wine tasting was fun and we were helped by an amazing wine steward at the tasting bar. Dinner was great as well and we ordered a variety of dishes. There was some ingredient confusion with one of our diners and I was so impressed that the chef came out to discuss options with her and made a specific dish to her liking. That was awesome.

Male server was the best we've experienced in over 3 months, felt how it used to be to actually have attentive service

As a member I did not appreciate being told I couldn't taste the sweet wine of the month! I'm a variety member and get a mixture of sweet and dry. This is offensive. Food and service were ok but Coopers Hawk is starting to take its members for granted.

Friday nights are usually busy, we still received our food in a decent amount of time. Service was great and we enjoyed ourselves.

Sorry but costumer service was sub par for what I was expecting from a 1st time visit. Waitress was friendly but maybe a little too casual. Don't feel like she was feeling people's age. Also we ordered a starter flight. We waited a long time and had to ask her to bring it. She said she forgot. Then upon bringing it then asks us if we wanted the pretzel bread...turns out it was complimentary starter (she should have brought with the wine) we had to chase her down for the check. Food was good. It was in a Monday and it was not busy at all. She was waiting on 3 tables. Customer service just isn't instilled or trained into these younger generations. Winery's customer service is held to a higher standard. I received better service at Olive Garden.

The food, service and atmosphere were very enjoyable. Highly recommended for any occasion.

Food and wine is always very good. Service is outstanding and our waiter "Ronnie" is the best and we always request him as a result!

Made birthday reservation,meal was very good,Our Server was excellent and though it was super busy, ambience was very nice.I always recommend Cooper's Hawk when ever someone ask me for fine dining restaurant

The service and food were excellent. However, I recommend a process be established for the wine tasting. I would have liked to try several of the available wines but was unable to join an empty space. It was haphazard and disorganized.

Lovely place to eat. We were celebrating our 30th Anniversary. Food and drink were excellent. Also, we had a beautiful table location. The only Opportunity for Coopers would be our server, who was not the greatest. The thing that made us wonder was that she was training another server, which is really concerning since you want the person being trained to observe the best servers. We have been to Coopers three other times, and the servers have always been good, so this may have just been a one-off or stormy night for our server. We will continue to do special dinners here.

This is the best deal for the money. Their food is delicious. I recommend it to everyone I know

Unlike most times, the service last night was subpar. The server we had was ill suited for the restaurant experience I've come to expect at Cooper's Hawk. Slow, almost robot like and expressionless. No sense of urgency to get to the table nor to return to the table for the entire 2+ hour experience. Thank goodness the food was delicious.

Kade is a great server and the food was fabulous. Tonya in the tasting room was insightful as well. We will come back soon.

Overall good experience. Food and drinks were delicious. Good menu options and seasonal specials. We weren't seated at arrival despite reservation and more than half our party ready. Then were made to wait longer once full party arrived. Service was slow for initial contact, drink order, and dish clearing between courses. Server did not check in after food arrival or throughout the meal. There was a large private event held concurrent to our visit so perhaps the management failed to staff appropriately.

Cooper Hawk is a great place. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Love the energy there. Will certainly return again & again
