CP Shuckers Cafe & Raw Bar

Hampton Roads Motorcycle Safety Training had their yearly breakfast at Shuckers Oceanfront this year and it was more than an amazing experience. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate and the food was excellent! Atmosphere was great and the menu was perfect for our group of 30. We’ve found the perfect venue for our yearly meeting and our staff will be visiting Shuckers throughout the year for lunch’s and dinner. Highly recommend!

My bf and son loved the rock fish the 1st 2 times not so much the last time. They need to be sure to follow proper codes procedures and not cook seafood and poultry with veggies and sides. Causing a person a seafood /fish allergic reaction and possible death will get this place shut down otherwise. The servers are super nice and the place is clean which I love! The bathroom was well maintained and that's a huge plus! We frequent here and froggies up the road. To the manager /owner. Make sure the fries and sides are not fried in the same oil as the seafood!! I am licensed with the state and I have a seafood allergy. I didn't appreciate the cook lying to me and the server stating there's no transmission of allergens based on the oil he used. That's a BLANTANT LIE AND CRIMINAL! I Opted out after hearing that as if I'm uneducated and illiterate. I've been allergic since childhood and his lies could've costed me my life. Next time I'll report it. But I do love your establishment otherwise so I'll give an opportunity for this issue to be rectified.

Great atmosphere including plenty of outdoor seating with TVs and fireplace. Super friendly staff. Brought a large group and we ordered everything on the menu lol. Oysters and Ruben as good as I've had anywhere.

I wasn't impressed with the restaurant. The cocktail wasn't that great and the food was mediocre.

Went for dinner on a Monday. It was fine. Slow night. Everything was good, servers were great. Some of the food was just typical bar type food and not something I’d be craving cause it wasn’t better or worse or special compared to any other place, so that’s why I did 4 instead of 5 stars. Wings were meh. I wish I had asked for all flats. The sauce wasn’t anything special and they weren’t like crazy hot and freshly fried. Fish and chips god scarfed down. She crab soup was nice. Hush puppies were solid, but normal. Steamed shrimp were my fav out of everything, BUT could’ve used more old bay and I didn’t really get the point of the green onions in there. I like green onions, but am more of a purist and didn’t see the reasoning behind them getting added in.

I know it's at the beach and everybody has a taste for seafood BUT GET THE RUBEN. It's not one of those NYC 5lb monsters but it is a delicious, in house, small batch bite of pastrami perfection.

The food was good, cooked well, and tasted flavorful. The bar was super loud and the staff, while not unfriendly, just kind of seemed unhappy to be at work. We ordered an appetizer and got it served with our dinner, which is always a bummer. I think they just forgot really. But overall id recommend.

The bartenders and staff will use personal vendettas to kick you out with no reason or treat you like crap but let others sleep in the parking lot. Never spoke to the male bartender that cussed me out when I was asking if a fellow customer was okay in his car (he wasn't).

Was so disappointed last night. Finally got to try this place and it was such a disappointment. I ordered a Caesar salad $10 and a bowl of She Crab Soup for $8. The salad was so small and was not worth it at all. The soup was swimming in Old Bay and salt. I could not eat any of it. My husband and son got burgers and they were just OK for $17. For that price, you only get Old Bay CHIPS and they were also swimming in Old Bay. A $2 upcharge gets you fries. We won't be going back, big disappointment.
