Croc's 19th Street Bistro

Had such a fabulous time at the Drag Brunch at Croc's. Music, performers, and wait staff were fun and friendly.

We had such a great time. Our food was good and service was amazing. The drag brunch was so fun!

We decided on Croc's for dinner as we were attending a concert at the Dome and it was about a 10 min. walk. We were seated quickly. Server was very attentive and food arrived in a timely manner. Decor was not what I was expecting. It seemed a bit run down with ceiling painted black and exposed ceiling ductwork. Crab cake was very good and I enjoyed my blackened tuna sandwich.

It was a dead night when we went. The inside feels a little run-down. The service and food were very good, and the food and drink offerings were also impressive. It felt like a mismatch between what was being served and the setting in which it was being served. The fried pickle spears were great. The NY strip steak dinner was good. The steak itself was good but not great, and I enjoyed the carrots it was paired with. I was impressed with the whiskey selection and the cocktails. It's quite a way away from the boardwalk, several blocks inland. If you're staying within a couple of blocks, it's worth the trip. I'm not sure it's worth the walk or drive if you're staying on or right off the boardwalk.

I haven't been to this restaurant for over 27 years. I was really looking forward to having halloumi. Service was awful and when we finally ordered, a little later, the waitress came over to say they were out of halloumi. What??? We were there early in a week day and had to get to a show at the Dome. I wound up having fries as they didn't have much vegetarian other than salad. I will never return.

Fantastic!!! Food was phenomenal! Run.... Don't walk to Croc's for dinner! Has a fabulous Bourbon list, too!

Food was fabulous, however service was extremely slow. We got appetizers at different times and all meals at different times. Drinks were slow and it was wine and beer, nothing fancy.

Delicious diverse menu. So many options! Cool neighborhood . Friendly staff . Not your average beach restaurant. In the best way possible

We had a reservation for two at 5:45 on a Saturday. Got seated right away, server took our cocktail orders; dirty martini and an espresso martini that were amazing. We started with the spinach/artichoke dip and wanted to wait on ordering our entree, to see how filling the dip would be. We put our order in around 6:30, with a glass on wine. ( they have 1/2 off bottles of wine on Saturday's, but only one of us wanted wine. 20 min later, still no food or the glass of wine...I flagged down someone other than our waitress and she checked on our order. Came back saying they had to put the order in!!!! We had to leave at 7:30 for a show, a Bottle of wine showed up. 7:15 still no food. I requested entrees to be canceled and send the check. Fortunately we weren't charged for the wine either, and they took the bottle away. I'm not sure what happened to our server, but nothing was written down from the start, I think she just forgot and was too busy. Not attentive enough to catch the missing entrees in time. Cool Atmosphere, tho. Spinach dip was delicious.

Delicious food, prompt wait staff and entertaining atmosphere as well as perfect location for enjoying Virginia Beach!

Great place

Amazing food, but the service could have been better. We sat for 45 minutes before anyone took our order.

Mezzeh sampler was a great app. Entrees were brought to the table at room temp or colder. Food had decent flavor, but veggies were rubbery.

I’m at a loss for why this place has good reviews. This was some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten. You’d think if you pay $30 for salmon you’d get at least a filling meal, but not here! Also the salmon I got tasted like they had replaced all the spices that were supposed to go on it with just salt. I’ve never eaten something as salty as that piece of salmon. Terrible food, mediocre service.
