We decided on Croc's for dinner as we were attending a concert at the Dome and it was about a 10 min. walk. We were seated quickly. Server was very attentive and food arrived in a timely manner. Decor was not what I was expecting. It seemed a bit run down with ceiling painted black and exposed ceiling ductwork. Crab cake was very good and I enjoyed my blackened tuna sandwich.
It was a dead night when we went. The inside feels a little run-down. The service and food were very good, and the food and drink offerings were also impressive. It felt like a mismatch between what was being served and the setting in which it was being served. The fried pickle spears were great. The NY strip steak dinner was good. The steak itself was good but not great, and I enjoyed the carrots it was paired with. I was impressed with the whiskey selection and the cocktails....
I haven't been to this restaurant for over 27 years. I was really looking forward to having halloumi. Service was awful and when we finally ordered, a little later, the waitress came over to say they were out of halloumi. What??? We were there early in a week day and had to get to a show at the Dome. I wound up having fries as they didn't have much vegetarian other than salad. I will never return.
