Wonderful experience! Ordered the freshly seared rockfish over grits and squash and spinach with side salad. So delicious! My husband ordered their fabulous tuna melt. Lots of yummy salads came with it. He was stuffed!

I like many things about the Leaping Lizard but overall their dinner menu does not appeal to me. The atmosphere is interesting, the service ok (seems quite busy and rushed) and it is a little pricey. I got chicken/orzo soup that obviously had been cooking all day and was mushy and thick. Beet salad had some beets but not worth the amount of money charged and the greens were wilted appearing not fresh. LOTS of greens, few beets generally. I think I like their lunch offerings more and will probably skip dinner in the future.
Great spot. Took our friends out to celebrate their recent engagement. We were placed in a back room with only 3 other tables and although it was noticeably a different atmosphere than the front of the house it gave a more private feel to our dinner experience. We all got the bruschetta, lobster fettuccine, spaghetti and the sausage and gnocchi dishes. The cocktails were great and overall a great night out. Parking garage not too far of a walk.

My favorite lunch spot when I'm in VB! Food is so fresh and delicious and they give you lots of it, and the place is so cute! Service is always excellent. Highly recommend a reservation no matter the time of day!

We've been to Leaping Lizard many times for brunch but this was our first time for dinner. We had an outstanding experience! Food was delicious and fairly priced. Sarah was our waitress and she was friendly and very attentive. We've already made reservations for next week!

Fabulous!! Second time there and by far my favorite place to eat when in town. Our server, Sarah was amazing. Very sweet, always smiling and very accommodating. The entire staff is already like family (Brianna). The Cioppino is out of this world and their homemade cookies are a must, regardless how much you ate at dinner. You will thank me if you go!

Our reservation was for 2:45, 15 minutes before closing time. We never felt rushed and the food was fantastic. The wait staff was awesome! Thank you for making our time together wonderful! Merry Christmas!!!
The crab quiche was perfectly cooked (not overdone) and delicious in the home made flaky crust. We had to try the blueberry biscuits once we spied them being delivered to a nearby table. They were so good we had to order some to take home. Everyone was pleased with their meal choices. We will definitely return soon.

Best meal I've eaten since coming to VA Beach 4 years ago. For starters, Dellarita, our server was amazing as was the entire crew working tonight. We had the pleasure of meeting Amy, the owner and her daughter, wonderful people. I can't say enough. From the minute you walk in, the ambiance, the vibe, and the decor is so perfectly inviting. Now to top that, the food was ridiculously delish!! The Cioppino was fantastic(my fave) along w the duck tacos. The butternut squash lasagna, crab cakes smoked white fish and the beet salad were all amazing. Oh.. and the cookies for dessert were a must. Worth it even if you're full from dinner. My favorite was the oatmeal chocolate chip but all great. Thank you to everyone for a fabulous dinner!! Heard they have a fantastic brunch. I'll be back for that as soon as possible.

Our children and grandchildren live in Virginia Beach and my husband and I request to have Sunday Brunch at the Leaping Lizard every visit. Food is fantastic, service is terrific and love the outdoor area for the kids.

Fun, casual, Virginia Beach/Jimmy Buffett/Key West-type atmosphere. It's an easy-to-miss restaurant set back a bit off Shore Drive. The food is fresh and delicious, with some creative twists. This last visit was for brunch. I had the crab quiche with a slightly spicey aioli drizzle - delicious. My friend described the pancakes as some of the best in the area, which included fresh peaches and strawberries on top. We were both quite happy with our meals and with the price. I plan to take my next out-of-town visitors there soon after they arrive.
