After an hour long wait we were finally seated. Took 5 more minutes to get a server. After another 10 minutes our order was taken. The food was cold and my breakfast sandwich looked like it had been in the kitchen for awhile. Not impressed and definitely not worth the long wait.

Got there an entire 40 minutes before they close (they close at 1400 on Sundays), stood there waiting for someone to come see us. This waitress passes by at least 3 times cussing at somebody else, clearly hating her job. Another waiter passes by and do nothing. A third one passes and finally asks if we’ve been helped, we (2 people) say no, and she makes us wait a bit more and comes back saying they are not serving anymore. The restaurant was full and people were still receiving their food at that point so it’s not like we would be the ones preventing them to close when the time comes. I explained we would just do drinks and were happy to sit at the bar. This waitress tell us “there is another bar right next to us, they serve drinks too”. Yep. Just like that.
No matter how cheap the drinks are, I’m definitely not spending my money in a place where people hate their jobs and take their frustration on the customers for nothing.

Quaint place. Referred by a local as a good breakfast location. It did not disappoint.

Finding Doc Taylor’s wasn’t the easiest—tucked away and a little tricky to spot—but once we stumbled across the parking lot and saw the “Parking for Doc Taylor's” we found our way. Once we stepped inside, it was worth it.

Our server, Heidi, was excellent—friendly, full of menu knowledge, attentive, and kept things moving with a smile. The coffee came out dark and strong (exactly how it should be), and the $3.50 breakfast cocktails are an absolute steal. The Screwdriver was a great way to start a day of sightseeing.

I went with the biscuits & gravy. The portion was huge. Heidi shared the gravy isn't just homemade, it's made fresh to order. It was thick enough to stick to the fork, but not firm or clumpy. I would’ve loved just a bit more seasoning. A side of bacon sealed the deal—crispy, salty perfection. The eggs Benedict were ooey gooey perfection, as well!

The vibe is cozy, with a local, off-the-beaten-path feel. Doc Taylor’s is the kind of place you’re glad you tracked down.

This business finds it acceptable to wait for almost 2- hours. Originally was a told 50- minute wait! The hostess continued to make excuses when asked why we still waiting and added more time after our original time has passed. You will be told by the hostess a lie regarding the wait and when it's all said and done we waited 2- hours...absolutely ridiculous!! There were empty tables in restaurant as well during several times I came back into the restaurant to ask about our time. And others waited around the same time after we talked couple tables around us. If it's gonna be a 2- hour wait then tell people from the get go. Shutting down the kitchen bc your cooks can not handle the amount of people is unacceptable. If anyone would be told a 2- hour wait we all would left. Be honest and teach your hostess how to properly tell time and how to be honest!! Apparently someone that works in this restaurant has time on their hands when they can post pics on Facebook of the food while I waited 2- hours!! Hostess was seen using her phone many times during our wait!!

Very nice, friendly and attentive service. Nothing to write home about in terms of food or atmosphere though. Very ordinary food and not great coffee. I ordered omelette. Dissatisfying. Hole in wall atmosphere with no sign out front. So glad I was there when empty as if I had waited to be seated after walking from my hotel I would have been really disappointed. Will eat breakfast at my hotel tomorrow. Diner at Moxy Oceanfront has exceptional service and really good breakfast. Wish I had not left hotel this morning to try breakfast elsewhere.

We literally just went and we were turned away
. We were the only African Americans in the building and were told they couldn’t take us because they were closing
. It was 12:40 they close at 2pm
.. as a military member and a citizen I am insulted
. They took two other families then told me they were done taking people
.. this is disheartening

Overall amazing experience. Had a short wait to be seated, but we were served and had drinks and food out in 15 minutes. Incredible and fast service, our server Shayla was especially wonderful and pleasant. Food was fast and delicious! And the cheap brunch drinks are the cherry on top!
