On two separate occasions I've visited Pico de Oro, once in the middle of the day on a Saturday and just now at 5 in the afternoon on a Friday. On neither trip was I able to buy any chicken, they were out of chicken the first visit and just closed the second. Bummer

Definitely call ahead because they sell out but that’s a great problem to have. Kyle served us up two massive plates of the juiciest half chickens, with perfectly seasoned fried rice, and the sweetest fried plantains. Will 100% be coming back.

The chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly, definitely a highlight of the meal. The sides (plantains and fried rice) were also fantastic. The staff were friendly and nice. The atmosphere was a bit warm, and I noticed that the air circulation could be improved, which made the wait a little uncomfortable at times. Speaking of wait times, it was a bit long, but overall, the delicious food made up for it.

Service was great. Food was pretty good also. I've only had the rotisserie chicken, plantains, and beans. Plantains were amazing, beans good, but the chicken was on the salty side. It taste good but if you got blood pressure or watch your your sodium, tread lightly. They have a really nice menu also. I can't wait to try something other dishes. I recommend.

We went today with my family, and it was nasty I ordered a Tallarín Saltado and it was literally WHITE, the meat taste like it was past it’s expiration date, my husband food taste like it was reheated, HORRIBLE!!
I literally left all my food, and the bad service?? If you’re a REAL Peruvian don’t come here!

Order salt with a side of meat and that is this place. This place was too salty it was a struggle to have the desire to want to eat.
Not coming back
Update: after spending nearly $100 on the food. We weren't going to simply throw it away. That would be very foolish to do. Nor were we checked on to ensure food was satisfactory until much later. Food was taken home for others to eat/animals to consume.
Thankfully they enjoyed.

The food tasted good, but the service was terrible and the worst thing was they stole my card, since the bill was an amount and much later I received a different charge than what they told me at the store. Appalling
