A total waste of $50. Stale crunchy egg noodles. Undercooked broccoli and chicken with cold rice. Pretty disappointed. Go up the street and visit your local hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Worst Chinese food I've ever had.

We've been eating here for many years. This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Virginia Beach. The food is always hot and fresh. The service is top notch. The portions are very generous. The lettuce wraps are to die for. Every dish I've had here is absolutely fantastic. Large, tender cuts of chicken are in every chicken dish we've had. From the Generals chicken, which my husband loves, to my favorite, Steak Wobar, we always leave satisfied. Even the sushi is delicious. Every dish you can think of from a Chinese restaurant is here and then some and all are at a higher level of quality than the average Chinese restaurant. There are even some unique delicious and very reasonably priced cocktails that are absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant for the best Chinese cuisine in the entire Hampton Roads area.

Parking: Plenty of parking in the front and rear of the restaurant.

I was here waiting at the front door for 15 minutes no one greeted me or said that they would even be with me in a minute. And then sat at the bar for an additional 10 minutes and no one still greeted me as I'm about to get up the bartender finally acknowledged that I was there. He asked me if I was dining in or taken out and I said actually my friend just changed our plans he completely ignored what I said brought me a sit-down menu and didn't even ask me if I would like a drink... Everybody's food in the place looked amazing but I wouldn't know cuz I couldn't get any service... I had already decided to leave before he greeted me. But him ignoring what I said was my icing on the cake. I would be willing to try this place again maybe on a less busy night I mean they only had about 10 tables in the whole place but
they look like they were in the weeds all of them. The robot delivering food was kind of cool ?. I will try to leave a more positive review when I actually get a taste of the food. Or maybe even a drink ?

First and foremost, Forbidden Palace has the very best fried chicken in VB. The wait staff was super kind and I will be back again and again.

The Mongolian chicken is the best and I mix it with the Sichuan green beans with a little rice and order it extra spicy. Nothing better.

Let me start by saying the food was incredible, the service was great, and the decors is very cool. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because their SEO has them listed as a buffet. They show up as the number 1 buffet in the area. THIS IS NOT A BUFFET!!!! My kids were starving and just needed something quick with no wait. By the time we got out the car and inside to see there was no buffet, it was too late for me to get them back in their car seats before meltdowns of epic proportions began. So it was frustrating that this was not actually a buffet. I saw after that other people had the same complaint. If they removed buffet from their SEO I would change my review to 5 stars.

Now for the food, everything was great. The lomein was probably the best I’ve ever had. The fried rice was excellent. Everything was great. Great vegetarian selection.

Great food! Some of the best sushi and Chinese food I’ve ever had. They were busy and very packed and still our server Jim was very attentive and full of energy. The portions were exceptionally large for the price. Overall a wonderful experience.

Not too sure why this place is rated so highly. Food was subpar, chicken in pho had a weird chewy consistency not notmally associated with chicken. The atmosphere is loud with no soft surfaces to reduce sound.
At best, this is a 3.0 restaurant. It's listed as a Chinese restaurant yet tries to serve multiple Asian cuisines, poorly. My advice would be to concentrate on one and perhaps become a better restaurant.
