The service here is amazing. We came in yesterday 11/2/25 around 3pm or so.

We came in for the second time because the first time was amazing, the drink was phenomenal! We wanted to order what we did the first time and ended up ordering the wrong drink (Dirty Brown Sugar Coffee Milk Tea and without hesitation the young man that worked there offered to make another. We were trying to find the right one and finally did (Dirty Brown Sugar Latte and they replaced it no questions asked. The service is impeccable here, super friendly and very accommodating.
The teas were out of this world. We used to go to Ninja Tea, Domoishi, and Whale Tea. We will not go to any other boba place, as this will be the go to. Thanks Gong Cha!

When the craving for boba hits, Gong Cha delivers every time. Today’s classic milk tea with pearls was spot-on — smooth, balanced, not overly sweet, and packed with chewy tapioca that had just the right bounce. At $10.24, it’s not the cheapest cup in town, but consistency and quality are what you’re really paying for here.

Pick-up was quick and easy through the app, and I even scored a surprise freebie (always a win 🙌). The drinks held up perfectly on the ride, and honestly, nothing beats sipping ice-cold milk tea with pearls while catching the golden hour.

If you’re in Virginia Beach and want a no-fail boba fix, Gong Cha should be your move.

Rude and unprofessional employees. We came in and there was no sign that stated they weren't open. We ordered and paid just for them to come out and say they won't open for another 30 minutes. My husband asked for a refund and while one of your employee apologized, the other, African American young lady, was rude and rolled her eyes at us. To the owner, train your employees properly because it reflects on your own customer service. What a shame.

Always greeted with a smile when I walk in! Drinks are consistently delicious, pearls are perfectly chewy, and service is fast. Definitely my favorite boba spot.

Terrible customer service. Went today 8/5/25 at 8:25PM to order for takeout. A sign on the door said “We are closing 30 minutes early. Its wasn’t 8:30 yet and they already locked the door. I stood at my car and called and was told that they are open until 9PM and I can come in to order. I go to the door and a girl opens it and says “we aren’t taking anymore orders”. There are also now about 10+ other people trying to go in and order and she turned them all away. So many people behind the counter and nobody wants to work. What a shame. Won’t come here again.

Received notification that dragon fruit drinks were now the special but 3/4 of their menu, including the dragon fruit series were sold out. A few times we have visited this location there was racist inappropriate music playing. It’s all getting run down and beaten up. Management needs to step in and make some improvements.

Ordered an iced coffee late twice. The first time was about a month ago and i was very disappointed but just thought it was a bad night so didnt wanna leave a neg review , im in an industry that is being constantly reviewed , so didnt wanna cry over something so small. I asked for 30% sugar and my drink tasted just a hint of sugar which by the way was not liquid sugar which will not dissolve properly in cold coffee. Again this evening i ordered the same thing thinking this time they have to get it right , but boy was i wrong. Firstly i asked for 100% so for sure i could taste it . I trusted them so did not taste til i got home. I shook it before opening and my gosh it tasted like they had put no sugar in my drink at all… when the sticker on it said 100%. Plus just tasted like a plain coffee with a little cream , not even a latte . I could have made this at home . $7 for a drink that i had to add sugar to just to make a decent coffee , when i ordered a latte. This is ridiculous . I gave this business one free card to redeem them selves before i left this review , but apparently , i must write this for this to be corrected.

Was a bit confused as to why I couldn’t order online and then why they did have the pumpkin items. Nonetheless, it was an interesting experience and I order a Frank’s Red Hot Drink since that was off the wall. Hope to try the pumpkin soon…..maybe it’ll boost them to 4 stars…..and then if I can order online, they’ll get to all 5 stars!
