Went for a late dinner while in the area and the experience was not good to say the least. I got shrimp tacos with a mango margarita and my boyfriend a burrito. Our food was not flavorful; my soggy tacos came with what tasted like thousand island salad dressing. I only took a few sips of my margarita but the taste of artificial flavoring was overwhelming. The worst part was the waiter Rudi giving himself an 18% tip for a party of 2! When addressed he acted like this was default and aside from what the customer tips. We respectfully didn’t agree and he tried to act like he did not understand what we said and stopped looking at us directly. My boyfriend then repeats in Spanish he was going to tip but doesn’t agree with an automatic gratuity and it is not honest. When we asked to speak with the manager, Rudi looks back inside, discreetly crouched down and quietly said it’s ok, and not necessary saying he would remove it! Do NOT eat here!

We stumbled upon this place by chance last year, and now it’s become a must-visit for us every year! The food is absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The service is always warm and friendly, making you feel right at home. It’s one of those hidden gems you can’t help but tell everyone about. Can’t wait to come back again next year!
Also to add we check our check and did the math there was not gratuity added to our bill, so not sure what the other reviews that mention this is all about 🤷🏼♀️

Super nice people but it unfortunately won’t change the fact that the food is horrible and overpriced. i ordered beef taco salad and the beef was absolutely tasteless and greasy, i was even questioning whether im consuming beef or something else. I ate with my family and none of them were satisfied with their food either. If you’re looking to have a good meal go to the restaurant right next to them.. they have great food.

Worst mexican food ever. It was so gross. I ordered cheese enchiladas thinking it was going to be traditional cheese enchiladas but nope it was just cheese sauce that you get from a can. I couldn't eat it was just so gross. I don't know if this is just a Virginia thing but yeah you guys need to use a different recipe or just use regular shredded cheddar cheese & allow it to melt. It would be sooooo much better especially with a really good red or green sauce on top.

I’ve been here twice for lunch. Once during the week and once on the weekend. The service is excellent and the food is very very good. All of their food is good. I had Chori Pollo the first time and thought it was cooked perfectly and flavorful.
I had the steak fajitas lunch portion for one today and it was perfect. The flavor is amazing, it comes out hot and is just bursting with flavor. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Mexican food.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well and bathrooms are clean!
Outdoor seating available and the drinks from the bar looked really good!

They double tip you on the receipt so don't tip them again they tried to double tip me with a $9.58 tip that is ridiculous if I want to tip you I'll tip you what I think you own.and if you charge me another tip I will sue you all for all you're worth.

Ordered my meal with no cheese got it with cheese but ate the rice because our server didn’t check on us for a while. Told us they are not replacing it because ate the rice (didn’t touch the chicken that was wrong) . Got a margarita and it’s like 95% alcohol. Not a good experience during our vacation at all.

We had a disappointing experience at Guads on Atlantic Ave. The food was overpriced, greasy, and underwhelming in both flavor and portion size. We ended up boxing it up just to give it away—honestly, Taco Bell would’ve been more satisfying. To make matters worse, our bill listed prices higher than those printed in the menu.
The atmosphere didn’t help either—flies buzzed around our table, which was unpleasant. An automatic 18% gratuity was added, which felt unearned given the experience. There weren't any signage informing me of the additional charges or the increase in the cost. We’d give the food 1 star and the service maybe a 3. We visit Virginia Beach every summer, but this place won’t be getting a second chance.
