Guangdong Taste in Virginia Beach is a fantastic find. We’ve been coming here for about five years, and it consistently reminds me of the Chinatown restaurants in New York and Philadelphia that focus on authentic, no-nonsense Cantonese cooking. The food is flavorful, well-executed, and clearly rooted in traditional techniques, including excellent dim sum offerings. Everything feels genuine, from the menu to the execution, and it’s a place we’re always happy to return to when we’re craving real Cantonese cuisine.

If you enjoy real Chinese food this is the place. Our family only visits Guang Dong for Chinese food. If you live anywhere in the Rio Rancho area this is a must. Not only is the food delicious but the owners are wonderful. Three of us went for take out and while we waited we were served hot and spicy soup by the owners Son ❗ It is truly a must go to place

i’ve been going here pretty regularly, probably around three times a month, which honestly says more than a long hype review ever could. this is one of those places where the food is just consistently solid. flavors are legit, not overly americanized, and you can tell they’re not cutting corners. portions are good, prices feel fair, and most of the time everything comes out fast and hot. service isn’t fake friendly but it’s fine, and i actually prefer that over forced small talk. it’s not a fancy place and it’s not trying to impress anyone, it just does good food and keeps me coming back. when i want comfort chinese food that i know won’t disappoint, this is usually where i end up.
