Harpoon Larry's Oyster Bar

We were sorely disappointed with the food. My wife ordered fried oysters. They were tiny oysters with a huge amount of batter. Way more batter than oyster. On top of that, they were overcooked. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was soggy. I couldn't even pick it up. It Just fell apart. It's was so soggy it made the fries soggy. Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Beyond all that, it took us 30 minutes before they took our order.

Not a good first experience for me. Took forever to get any service. Took forever to get a drink not only ordered but also delivered. We sat outside on the covered porch. The smoking area is in between the front door and the outside porch. I dont know how this restaurant is still in business. The steamed oysters I ordered looked like they sat under a heat lamp for too long. We were there for over an hour just to have 12 oysters each and one beer each. I won't be going back

The waitress was rude when we sat down on top in AC, she was mad because we didn’t sit at the bottom with no AC..THE FOOD WAS OVERDONE, BURNT, TASTELESS HORRIBLE….DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

Our waitress Chey was fantastic!!! She was very hardworking, funny and personable. The food here was pretty tasty too. Definitely a good spot to be for dinner and drinks.

Nice chill spot to visit. We stopped in for some steamed clams and oysters and some drinks. Service was friendly and we ended up getting mussels afterwards. I'd definitely visit again.

There are only like 6 tables with people but we weren’t able to order food for twenty minutes because the kitchen “wasn’t ready.” 20 min roll by and they still weren’t ready except for the cold bar so we got crab legs. They were hot on the bottom and dang near frozen up top. We had to re order that then we heard from a different waitress that they were backed up because of a bunch of to go orders… like…WHAT!? Serve the people you have in the actual restaurant!! Only reason for the 3 star is that the food the first time I came here was that good. Guess you can’t get it right two times in a row.

Wish we had read the reviews before wasting our time. The service at this location is a MESS. No wait time to be seated, there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. We arrived around 7:30 but it was pretty slow…a Wednesday night. A server passed by our table 3 or 4 times to attend to 1 other table behind us and never even acknowledged we were sitting there. When another server came out, he went to a table that was seated at least 5 mins after we were seated…maybe more. About the same size…we had 4 people myself, my husband and our 2 tweens. We were never served so we left and fortunately ended up at a waterfront place on the boardwalk. Thanks to Harpoon Larry’s and their horrible service.

Very bad quality food. They must have not cleaned their deep fryer since they opened because my coconut shrimp where black for some reason, then after eating the crab soup and dip my girlfriend AND I had the worst stomach cramps of our lives and proceeded to projectile vomit all night. Please don’t go here if you want to save money on toilet paper..
