Really good food, especially liked the buffalo fish bites.

Typical bar restaurant so atmosphere is as expected for the beach area. I ordered clam chowder as an appetizer with raw oysters and the softshell crab dinner plate. I ate at the bar since I was by myself for dinner. I was expecting New England Clam Chowder. I got clear broth which I learned afterward was a Virginia thing. They should call it clam gumbo. Wasn’t appetizing. Photos on line depicted a white chowder. I wanted to relax and take my time eating my dinner. But the bartender order everthing and it all came at the same time. That was an initial failure in food service. Bartender was nice but could have done better with the delivery. The soft shell crab was ruined because the cook obviously used old cooking oil that had been used to fry other food all day. Softshell is supposed to come out light in color. It was dark as a burnt hush puppy. I spent $50 and could have done better elsewhere. I actually left a different restaurant to go there thinking it had a better variety of food. The raw oysters were good. But they weren’t shucked properly. The meat was still connected to the shell. Proper shucking requires removing it from the shell with the shucking knife so the customers aren’t trying to separate the meat from the shell.

I love this place !! Down to earth seafood spot that's a staple for all of my trips to Virginia Beach. Known for the best Hurricanes Drinks in town but the food is what keeps me coming back. Very reasonably priced, down to earth atmosphere and service, and the best part is you don't have to wait 1.5 hrs to get a table. Bing Bam Boom Amazing.

We go here EVERY time we make the drive from Richmond to Virginia Beach and it is the same every visit. The food is good and the staff are friendly. It is laid back and casual.

My husband ordered the seafood platter and loved it, meanwhile I ordered something as simple as a BLT with chips. The BLT only had to pieces of bacon! I Would not recommend unless you only want seafood.

Restaurant not as busy as years ago but bar area was full. Inside seating and outside seating tiki bar available. Server was attentive and helpful with menu and drinks. Stuffed flounder had heavy seasoning where I could barely taste crab meat and flounder. Roasted potatoes had rosemary sprinkled on and I added salt. Mac and cheese lacked some seasoning and was oily in dish. Food was lukewarm when it arrived to table. Crabcakes ordered fried and overcooked. Food was way better few years back when visiting the beach. Cook might be new. I'll stop again next time at beach.

No offense, but after walking in and sitting down, we both thought that maybe we came to the wrong place and we're confused. After putting our orders in, there was no turning back. And we were SO GLAD we stayed . The food was so delicious. Their side of Mac and Cheese is to die for .

Amazingly horrible!! Took forever for the appetizer and my first beer, then 20 minutes for my refill. It took an hour for our food to come out, but by then we cancelled. This was ridiculous! Been there a bunch of times but after the bartender threw attitude since we were done and just wanted to go and the 18% tip automatically given for the bad service I doubt I will be back! I get that you may have been short staffed, but the lack of communication was very frustrating.

The food is awesome and our waitress was wonderful and trying hard. The hostess did not tell anyone we were seated and we waited 45 minutes to get helped only after we flagged someone down to take our order.
