Food is great! I like the ox tails or the curry goat with Mac n cheese and rice n peas. The prices are a little high but they have a good priced lunch special. The customer service not the best but it is fair.

Great place with awesome food! There's a lovely, very nice Asian woman at the register but don't let that throw you off the food is still authentic Caribbean food with a cook from the islands. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Was recommended and don't understand why! Although the customer service was good the food was tasteless. Tasted as if it were frozen and heated in a microwave. From experience thus far the best tasting is Happy time in Portsmouth. I would have taken the ride to Portsmouth rather than eating food from here, if you want to waste $32 like I did, go here if not go past and don't give it a second look!

Very Rude Customer Service, Very Nasty attitude. Screwed up my order bc so busy try watch TV at the same time. Then wanna argue about it when I asked for a refund. So I told her to just keep the money since they need it soooooo bad.
Don't ever go here. The oxtails were tuff the rice dry and the peas were crunchy. I called back and was told that what I said wasn't true." We never get complaints, so why would you call and say that?" My response, "Because I just spent 28 on two meals that are horrible". I will never be returning!!!

Never again. Try elsewhere. I have given this place several tries and I'm now convinced I'd never visit here again. The customer service is terrible. The food is not authentic. They have one person working the counter and that causes a huge delay in service and diminishes customer experience. I hate to give my fellow Caribbean people a terrible review, but after today, I will never give my hard-earned money in exchange for bad service (arguing with a repeat customer (me), yelling "Don't come back" and, after several requests for a refund for food I did not receive in a timely fashion, still was argumentative and accusatory. I have family from Jamaica and Trinidad and have travelled to Jamaica many times over the years. I wanted to support--continue giving this place a chance. Never again. To treat a repeat customer the way I was treated is disgraceful and a bad reflection on a culture and food I love dearly.

For starters, this location tops the Norfolk one by A MILE!! The lady at the counter is actually very friendly, the portions are HUGE and taste great. I can't say the same for the Norfolk one. I have gone here at least once a week and the service and food has always been top notch. Do yourself a favor and come eat here.

I'm extremely unhappy. A friend referred us here, because they supposedly have a good "vegan oxtails". Disclaimer: She didn't recall the name, just the location, but we saw no other Caribbean spots nearby. We walked in 15 minutes before they closed & I told the lady cashier that we'd heard that they had really good "vegan oxtails".She asked if we wanted some & I asked her which of their sides were vegan. She said the peas and rice and the cabbage, so we ordered a sml & a lg order , with cabbage, peas &rice. She rang us up and I noticed that we paid the regular price. I told her that it's crazy to charge the same price for tofu as it is for meat; meat is more expensive. She said the price is the same. A guy gave us our order a few minutes later & I asked if he was the owner. He hesitantly responded that he was. I told him we'd been referred there for their vegan oxtails & he looked as if I was speaking Russian. We got ALL the way home, and realized they gave us meat! I'm livid!
