My wife loves this place, so we come here quite a bit. The staff and service is always great, with very friendly people. The food is fine, but it does seem to be a little inconsistent at times (different cooks, I guess, on different days?) My advice, though, for newcomers: Do NOT order the "specials". Even though most portions here are quite generous, the specials are, well, skimpy. The quality was good in both cases I had them, but portion sizes were disappointing. They need to fix that. Otherwise, this is a pretty good place for dinner.

Thursday night build your own steak night has become an absolute disappointment. I would considered returning if they made operational chances to make the steak dishes like the steak night of old.

I get the shrimp and steak fajitas. Just fantastic. Wings also very good and wedge salad awesome. Friendly staff management nice and listens to their customers. Highly recommended.

Never had a bad experience here. Just met the owners and I understand why. Great joint a couple blocks from the Bay. More importantly, great food and old fashioneds. The she crab soup is the bomb. Definitely stop by if in Chick's Beach.

For dining on a Saturday evening in February, we had to "circle the block" a few times before getting a parking spot - it's not a huge lot, and streets spots are hard to come by. Our party of three sat on the enclosed front patio, and we did have to wait longer than we should have for a waitress to take our drink and food orders, but once that got figured out, the rest of the evening went fine. The food was good, and the portions were generous. The two highlights were the Shepard's Pie and the Seafood Pot Pie.

Just moved to the area and was looking for a local joint close to the water. It's not on the bay, but walking distance to Chic's Beach. I liked the location and the brunch menu. I sat at the bar and started a conversation with the couple next to me. They seemed to know everyone. Turns out they were the owners, Rich and Elle. Besides the local, friendly atmosphere, the food is fantastic. I had the avocado toast, but I hear the crab cake Benedict is worth a try. I'll be back for diner, but definitely for another Sunday brunch!

We're locals and this was still our first time here. We had friends come in from NY that stayed in a VRBO close by, so we decided on here for an anniversary dinner and to see everyone. It was exactly what I'd expect on a random Tuesday. Not too busy, not too loud, and perfect for our group. We did apps and drinks all around. Everything was so good and exactly as expected. The Brussels were amazing, but I love Brussels sprouts. The mac n cheese egg rolls were awesome! Try both of those things for sure! I ordered something simple, the crab cake sandwich, but couldn't even eat the bread after loading up on apps. But the crab cake was good. Good texture. Exactly what most people look for in a Virginia Beach restaurant. Good food, good atmosphere, great service. Will definitely go back.

This place always hits home runs. The atmosphere is great, service is always on point, and the food never disappoints. I'm told they may take the seafood nachos off the menu due to the increasing seafood prices. Get in and get them while you can. The seafood Mac and cheese is always off the charts as well.

Stopped in after a day of Golfing with my daughter for dinner. Nice and quiet location and great atmosphere. Had the Seafood nachos and they were fantastic!!

Had dinner on a TUES evening and it was very nice. They are DOG FRIENDLY and the staff treated my pooch with treats and love! Thank you. They have some drink specials. I had the Tuna Poke which was excellent, my friend at the Caprese, and since she devoured it, I assumed it was good. I had the seared scallops w Mushroom Parmesan Risotto. It was okay but I could not likely order it again. I might try something different. The scallops were a little dry (perhaps over cooked?) Nevertheless, I would probably try this place again. The staff was super friendly.

We came here for dinner our first night of vacation. Our dog was welcome and was greeted by the staff with a treat. They have a build your own mojitos menu that was really nice. We were there on seafood night (Wednesday) where you can order sample sizes of different dishes. I had the grilled shrimp, fried flounder, and tuna bites. All were good, but the tuna bites are a must have. My husband had all the same as me and oysters Rockefeller too. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out for a good meal.
