Stopped into Honey Bee for breakfast on a Saturday while in town. Overall the experience was great especially because of the staff. They were friendly and attentive and the restaurant environment felt really "homey". I got the breakfast burrito with a side of grits. The food wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible either. I deducted a star because I was really looking forward to my cheese grits but they were tasteless and hard, adding salt and pepper didn't help much so I was very disappointed. Overall it was a great experience and I even got to color a bee!

This is such a cute little gem on the main strip. The food was of exceptional quality and the service staff was friendly and accommodating to our 7 year olds requests. This place is truly above the bar for friendly atmosphere and food quality. In the world of customer loyalty these guys are doing everything right. We will return here every beach vacation.

All I can say is that it was an average breakfast. Nothing great, nothing memorable. The French toast was $10 and served with bacon and was average... that is the best way to describe this place for breakfast. They had a 'craft coffee bar' which was just a refill your own cup with their pump coffee- nothing craft about it.

This place was absolutely fantastic, my wife and I walked down a couple of days during our long weekend at Virginia Beach. The food was always good the staff was always friendly our waiter's (whose name was David) was always on the ball and just a great guy. I really appreciate his friendliness and how fast everything always came out, this is a place that I definitely want to visit every time we come to the beach going forward! Love this place can't go wrong here!

Breakfast was a total strike out. Overpriced for th quality. Sausage was microwaved and still undercooked. Bacon was also undercooked. Eggs were ok. They charged me $1.75 for a biscuit. Yes, you read that right. It wasn't some super biscuit either. It was just a plain old biscuit.

This is just the sort of place you want before your 1st cup of coffee in the AM. A no hassle, nothing fancy sort of place with smiley faced waitresses. We became regulars eating here 4 mornings straight. The waitress remembered us on our 2nd visit and that was a pleasant surprise. It's a short walk from the Courtyard Marriott at 2501 Atlantic Ave. There is a senior citizen menu that fit me. I need a cup of cup, protein and some fruit. There were 2 of us. My sidekick ordered from the regular adult menu and could order fruit as an option. I ate her fruit. They also offer a breakfast buffet which we never used but it seemed popular. The price is right and the food and coffee is good, in summary. If you need a breakfast place that won't break the bank like hotel spots tend to do, this is the place. Note: There's a bicycle rack nearby.

We were gonna have to wait in line for over an hour to get into Pocahontas or Doc Taylor's, so we tried this place. It's not super fancy ambience, but it's a pancake house. Playful colors and a lovely mural with a unicorn gondola. Pancakes: On point. Server: Delightful Wait time: 0 Value: $5 all-you-can-eat pancakes.

We came here after checking a couple of restaurants, and they all had a wait. We came in and were immediately seated. Our silverware was wrapped in plastic, which I know is wasteful but it made me feel better about the cleanliness of the restaurant. Our waitress was so sweet, and made accommodations for a to go order. I ordered 3 pancakes and bacon, and it was so delicious. The pancakes were moist and fluffy, and the bacon was the right amount of crisp. If I lived in VA beach, I would definitely come here again.

Fantastic breakfast- I came here two days in a row and waited no more than 5 minutes (Saturday and Sunday.) it's diner type of breakfast and you can't really go wrong. Southern style options, the sausage gravy and biscuits are very tasty. The star is the pancakes. Probably the best I've ever had. They have some secret ingredients in their batter and you can tell the difference. They're fluffy and the texture is light and perfect. Warning: huge portion! But worth it! The service is incredible! The servers are so attentive and the nicest people. Much appreciated!

Brought my great nephews and grandson for breakfast, the hostess and server are very welcoming, the service is prompt, and the place wasn't overly crowded.

My husband and I stopped in for a late breakfast/brunch on a Sunday around 12:30pm. We found Honey Bee after originally going elsewhere and deciding to bow out of the 90 minute wait. There were maybe 4 tables when we arrived, so we were a bit nervous to say the least. We were quickly greeted by a super-friendly male server whom was efficient and good with refills throughout our meal. The breakfast menu is basic breakfast and I also believe they offer a buffet. Drinks are also basic; I don't believe any alcohol is served. While not right on the beach, and no outdoor seating, you can see the boardwalk and ocean. My husband ordered the waffle combo, eggs scrambled with cheese, grits, bacon, and sausage. The sausage and bacon were nicely spiced. I didn't try anything else but he finished it off and enjoyed everything. I ordered the Mediterranean omelette with egg whites. It was huge and stuffed with an ample amount of feta, spinach, mushrooms, tomato, and black olives. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The omelette came with toast (I chose wheat) and a side (I chose fruit). The fruit was a bright, fresh mix of oranges, strawberries, bananas, watermelon, blueberries, and cantaloupe. Prices are also very reasonable . I'd definitely stop in again for breakfast and would recommend to others to not overlook Honey Bee!

Best chocolate chip pancakes we've ever had! And we are tough critics when it comes to our pancakes! Service is quick & the staff is friendly. This has been my go-to breakfast spot since living in VA Beach!
