After trying literally every single Vietnamese restaurant in the Hampton Roads area for the best Pho, This is my favorite place by far. The Pho broth is rich with spices, high quality meats, and generous portions. The Bun is also my favorite in the area. You can’t go wrong with any dish here. It is authentic as it gets. To top it off, the atmosphere and service is incredible, they truly take pride in their art of cuisine here. Don’t sleep on this place.

Pho Viet 1 is a great spot for authentic Vietnamese food. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is friendly and efficient. Their menu offers a wide range of options, but the standout for me was the Bun Bo Hue. There’s good bun bo hue in DC:Baltimore area- but haven’t found one in Hampton Roads yet- until now! The broth is flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and the ingredients taste fresh and well-prepared. Portions are generous, and the balance of flavors in their dishes makes for a satisfying meal. If you’re looking for a place that serves quality Vietnamese cuisine, Pho Viet 1 is definitely worth a visit.

I am a member of the Regent University Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA), and our organization hosts events on campus frequently. Everytime we've catered from Pho Viet, the restaurant has done an exceptional job! In the most recent event, we wanted to do a Vietnamese-Mexican fusional tacos because we were partnering with Regent University Hispanic Law Student Organization. No restaurant caters fusional tacos of that type, but I thought of Pho Viet. And Mr. Viet, the owner, was incredibly helpful! He put together a menu with me and tailor made the pickled carrots and radish to look like pico de gallo, stir fry chicken & beef in a way that resemble taco meat. In a nutshell, the tacos look like a twist on Vietnamese banh mi and Mexican tacos. The event was a huge hit, and everyone absolutely enjoyed the food! Highly recommend this restaurant!
I've also eaten here a few times, and their phở is by far the BEST phở I've eaten in the US (I have tried many phở). Their bánh mì thịt nướng and cơm bò lúc lắc are also to die for!

When I ate that bowl of noodles, I knew I have to leave this restaurant a 5 start reviews! I have to agree with all the top reviews, this is definitely a MUST GO restaurant!! Highly recommend the vermicelli pork, it is just so flavorful and the pork is very tender :)
The server served us is extremely nice and welcoming. The bathroom is clean as well. 5 star!! ??

Forget good enough, this is the real deal.
Just 15 minutes away from the busy boardwalk and with ample parking, Pho Viet 1 rises above the generic “good enough” Vietnamese fare i.e. places that do well enough the basics of Pho-Bun Thit Nuong (rice vermicelli with grilled meat)-Com Thit Nuong (same thing, with rice instead) and offer a 30-item menu of variations of those 3 dishes.
Despite its own generic name, Pho Viet 1 differs in 2 ways: the basics are done excellently and they offer other authentic dishes such as Hu Tieu Nam Vang and Bun Mang Vit. If you want a treat in Vietnamese cooking and to reward establishments that go beyond the generic Pho places, Pho Viet 1 is an excellent choice in Virginia Beach.
