We went for the happy hour. The vibe is great. Food was amazing. Great whiskey selection. Service was great at first and then we felt like we were forgotten. The bus boy circled the tables frequently and was on top of everything but the waitress mostly hung out at the bar talking to others. I would still go back and maybe get better service.
Been there quite a number of times. First time we had the waiter come and tell us that our table had another reservation on it. We declined dessert prior to this but were finishing our drinks. Thought that was quite rude and glad the waiter was on my husbands side as I am not sure what I would have said. Never had this happen and hope it never does. We had only been there one hour with our own reservation. Not a great experience. Then the valet guy for our car was very curt telling us it was $6 for parking which my husband already had the money in his hand. Definitely not the kind of service we are used to at the Cavalier.
Celebrated our anniversary during this visit. We were seated promptly in a booth due to my leg injury by our welcoming hostess. Our server was awesome. Food was served quickly . Drinks were good. We ordered the Fish & Chips and Fried shrimp dinners both were very good. The shrimp were very large and numerous.. Completed our dinner with the highly recommended Apple Bourbon cheesecake. Very good! We always enjoy visiting the Hunt room for dinner and cannot wait to come back!
It was wonderful! The food was delicious, I would recommend their fried truffle poutine. The hunting vibe was fun but classy, and the restraunt was beautiful overall with a nice sitting area inside, its very close to the beach for a walk after dinner. It is inside of a hotel with a distillery which was gorgeous and they had amazing drinks with their own brand! All of the staff was very nice and even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert in syrup! I would definitely go again and recommend it to others, the only think I would tell people who are considering coming is that if you use apple or Google maps it will take you to the back of the restraunt, so you should set it to their hotel (the cavalier) instead for the vallet parking. The staff has tried to change it but as of April 2025 it still takes you to the back of the restraunt, but the staff will happily tell you where to go and inform hotel security so they don't tow your car before you can move it.
The meal was very good - Oysters Rockefeller, Salmon and Crab Cake. Don't like the way the sides and the meat is piled up in the center of the plate, but that seems to be the trend. The noise level was a bit too high for my liking, but it was very busy. Service was excellent.
Great place, great location, and great food. Went on a Saturday evening and the restaurant wasn't too crowded and had great service. Meal was delicious and portions were generous. Highly recommend.
We went mid-day for drinks and appetizers. Everything was delicious, and our service was wonderful. I can't comment as to loudness because there weren't many people there when we were (3:00), but our food (chicken sticks, fries and brussel sprouts) were excellent, as were our cocktails!
The entire experience was spectacular 🙌 couldn't point out a single thing during my visit that I did not like. That's saying a lot coming from me!!!

Absolutely delicious food and cocktais, with a fun vibe and views of the distillery. I highly recommend the pan roasted venison, with any of their cocktails, Old Cavalier Whiskey, or really any of their whiskeys.
Kid-friendliness: There are dishes for kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are elevators.

The ambience was impeccable. Love the energy. If only our server had better energy. I tried a mule for the first time and absolutely hated it. So I ask my server if I could exchange the drink for something else. I was willing to pay if I had to but it never hurt to ask. He made the biggest deal about it. He rolled his eyes and said he would talk to the bartender. His attitude afterwards was disgusting. Literally had to chase him down to get water and our check. Overall tho the food and my new drink was really good!

Great place - my boss from San Diego insists we go here every time he flys into town
We always have a lovely time at the Hunt Room! So far we’ve done dinner, lunch, and also drinks - and everything has been delicious. It can be a little pricey, and it’s a bit of a drive for us, but worth the trip if you want to splurge a little (or if you’re just bougie lol). I definitely recommend making reservations in advance, or preparing to sit at the bar. There is valet parking as well.

Second time being here for a business meeting and it’s a bit of a challenge. It’s a nice place but it gets so loud it’s hard to hear. The server was always dropping something off and darting away before we could ask for more drinks or other things. You could tell some plates were on a warmer for a while before coming out. My plate was hot but the potatoes lukewarm. Also avoid the bourbon balls. The cheese cake dessert is the way to go.
