Our food server, Debbie, was excellent! She was extremely helpful in sharing about the menu, bar items, the distillery, etc. The food was very, very good. The oysters Rockefeller were the best we have had in years, and the short rib French Dip was great! The drinks menu had a wide variety and the ones we had were excellent. The atmosphere was really nice, and the huge fireplace was a real treat. We recommend The Hunt Room.

Brussels starter was very good. Service was great! Catch of the day was just ok. It was slightly overcooked and the corn salsa was not the best pairing. Birthday dessert was lovely.

Our food and service at the Hunt Room were - as always - excellent. We have never had a complaint before now. On this particular night, we had out-of-town guests come, and we were anxious to take them to the restaurant that they had sent us gift certificates for on numerous occasions. Although we had reservations, we were not seated in the dining area, but rather in the bar area, where there was a football playoff game going on, with many very loud and boisterous fans making it difficult for us to even have a conversation. Although we said that we had reservations and would rather have a table in the main dining area, we were told that they were "overbooked" and that's all they had (though the table over by the window with the bearskin was open at the time.) Our disappointment came because we had 'sung the praises' of the Hunt Room, its decor and its' ambiance to these guests, and we were not able to have them experience it for themselves. My lesson from this - and for others wanting the same thing - is that next time I will put in the reservation notes "DO NOT WANT TO SIT IN THE BAR AREA". Regardless - the Hunt Room remains one of our favorite places to eat, as Rudee Inlet locals who go there often. We highly recommend it!

This was my first time to eat at the Cavalier. My waiter had the personality of a rock. He wasn't friendly or professional. The Mahi had a lack of taste, but the lava cake was phenomenal and served by friendly waitress. I won't be going back again, at least not the Hunt Room

I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. The cheese sauce tasted like white gravy with too much pepper - flour and black pepper. The waiter spoke only to my husband and didn't acknowledge me. The atmosphere was nice. I will not return. This restaurant was highly recommended to us and we were highly disappointed. Do not recommend.

We had made the reservation well in advance. We had email and texts to remind us and a text to confirm. We did everything to insure The Hunt Room that we would be there at the appointed time. We arrive and the hostess cannot find our reservation. Fortunately, I had the texts and Open Table confirmation. She found us a table that was place in the middle of two different parties. Very loud in The Hunt Room. Service was great. Food was good.

I had an incredible experience last night. The food was amazing, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. The setting, the lighting, everything was point on. That was first time dining at this establishment but I'll definitely be back. Hunt Room has escalated to my top five spots in the area.

Overall, it wasn't the experience I expected, but the quality of the service and the meal itself were strong positives. If you're looking for a lively environment, this place may be a great fit; if you're looking for something quiet and intimate, this might not be the spot.
