Food was amazing, especially the macaroni and cheese.! The service not so good. I literally waited 35 minutes just for anyone to come greet me or let me know what was going on with my food. They really need someone at the register or in the front.

I recommend ordering for pick up. I ordered pick up and some other customers were there with nobody at the front. My only problem was that there should have been someone at the front letting the guests know what was going on, ringing people up for their orders, and carrying out orders if they're ready. The portioning of food was great for its price. The food was very filling and flavorful but also creative because idk anyone else who makes oxtail or jerk chicken and salmon empanadas.

I only had the food one time and it was very good, they are just unprofessional when it comes to communicating, never know if they are open or closed until you drive there and that’s a waste of gas just put updates online or something.

We just ordered from here tonight through Uber Eats and it’s so delicious! The regular chicken empanada took me back to my childhood 😋 My hubby and I agree that this is where we found the best Mac n cheese in the area! The sweet potato mash was delicious too. So darn good!
I would come back here for the Mac and cheese alone...and I low key did. I'll endeavor to try their whole menu cause it all looks amazing. But I'll keep leaving with a side of Mac and cheese! It's baked! Cheesy with sauce and sharp cheddar.
I tried the beef/cheese and the oxtail empanada, both had amazing cheese pull, and stuffed with meat.

The service was very slow for us and it took over an hour wait to receive our order. The food was just ok and the seasonings we did not enjoy. For us we felt like it was overpriced in our opinion. We won’t go back.

I can’t believe this place only has two reviews on Google so I had to leave one. It’s a top restaurant on Uber Eats for good reason! If you love flavorful soul food prepared with care, this is the place. I will definitely be ordering again - 10/10!

Everything was delicious....oxtail empanada had a great amount of meat and well seasoned. Rasta pasta was pretty good. Lamb chops mac n cheese was excellent. A little pricey but worth it
Alright, let's talk about Issa's Empanadas. We ordered through Uber Eats, and I was shook they delivered all the way from Virginia Beach to Hampton. When I say we had leftovers for DAYS, I mean it.
First up, we got the Rasta Pasta with Lamb Chops. Those lamb chops were tender and juicy, and the pasta? It had just the right amount of kick without making you reach for the water every five seconds. Everything was seasoned to perfection.
Then, we dove into the empanadas. We tried three different ones: braised oxtail, chicken, and jerk chicken. Let me tell you, these empanadas were still hitting the next day after a quick spin in the air fryer. Crispy outside, flavorful inside.
For sides, we went all out. The sweet potato mash was a delight, the garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and garlicky, and the rice and beans were on point. The sweet plantains added the perfect touch of sweetness to balance everything out.
Now, let's talk about the mac and cheese. Bussin', cheesy, and delicious. The broccolini was fire--sauteed and seasoned to perfection. And we couldn't resist the chicken tenders combo with fries. That honey lemon pepper sauce was the truth, soaking into the fries and making every bite a flavor explosion.
We spent almost $160 on a delivery order, but when I say it was worth it and I'd do it again, no hesitation--I mean it. Issa's Empanadas brought the restaurant experience right to our doorstep. So, whether you're local or feel like splurging on delivery, trust me, Issa's is where it's at. Place your order today and get ready for a flavor fiesta!

This place is so great! The food is made to order so we did wait about 30 minutes for our food (which was fine). My husband and I ordered the salmon, beef and cheese, and jerk empanadas, along with their garlic mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. This food was so good we came back AGAIN and got their lamb chops and cajun pasta (which is truly cajun, so be prepared for that spice!). Highly recommend this place!
