Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant

Jade Garden General Booth USED to be the place where you got what you paid for being it was meaty, seasoned and of good quality for a slightly higher price than other places who skimped w ingredients etc. Sad that I’ve watched this place gradually decline. 7yr loyal customer here. Tonight’s the last night I’ll order plus they won’t deliver?! Wish they would have stayed consistent instead of inserting cheap ingredients and raising price with that! We’re not stupid. We have options and I for one am going else where’s.

We had never eaten here before and saw the decent reviews and thought we would give it a try. We ordered a variety of food, some of which was actually edible.

The hot and sour soup was scorched and inedible. The fried strips that came with the soup were soggy and stale.

The shrimp toast was burned but had an okay flavor once you scraped off the burned parts. The pork egg rolls were ok.

The sweet and sour chicken just tasted off. We didn't risk eating it, although my kid loved the sauce. Same with the sesame chicken. It just tasted off.

Not worth the drive back to try to get a refund. There's a reason the restaurant was completely empty.

Finally! Fried rice with bean sprouts and no peas and carrots! Great egg food young with excellent gravy. Very nice egg rolls.

Ordinary Chinese food. Large dishes. Restaurant made for ready-to-go whether you eat on site or not. Foam plates, plastic utensils....
If you eat on site and the restaurant closes; we make you feel it and finally we throw you out without scruple... Take your things and go finish your meal at home. Not a minute later than the time indicated on the front door.
The price of the dishes is rather expensive for the quality of the food.

I got fooled by the 4 star average. Be prepared to be disappointed if you are Asian. Rice is mushy. Noodle is mushy. Fried rice is mushy. Sesame chicken is mushy.

The food is very bland and just not very good. The staff seemed annoyed we wanted to eat in the restaurant and it was 2 hours before they closed so that wasn’t an issue. Will not return. The general Tso’s had a strong vinegar flavor with no spice or sweet.
