Jade Villa Chinese Restaurant

I never leave reviews. And I gauge Chinese restaurants by their egg rolls first. And, wow, the best egg roll EVER. And I turn 70 next week. Then, the steamed pork dumplings. Again, wow, the best ever. Next cane the pork lo mein. Extremely good. I prefer it to be made with a different kind of noodles that I've only found once. But, still very good. I will come back when I'm in the area (i live 35 miles away).

So the food is really good but the service in person is pretty poor.

Lots of staff were there but no one came by to take our order. We had to stop a worker just to get a menu and stop another to place the order. We were hungry so got a few of the service cart appetizers. Given cold fried rice and semi warm dumplings. The broccoli and beef we got was really good when it came out.

Kept asking for To go boxes and the server apologized and said he had to was his hands. Not sure why washing your hands takes 10 minutes...

My mother in law really like this place and goes often but she said the service this time around was unusually terrible. Im a restaurant server too and I get the kitchen was likely slow but the service staff worked like they were burned out. Will try again during the week days to hopefully get better service.

Amazing dim sum!

Came in with party of 6. We ordered 8 entries, servings are smaller than usual, we were almost done with our dinner but 2 of our orders were served late in spite of us reminding them. We ended up taking them home. We should have just cancelled them. Servers were ok, but robotic. We’ve been going to Jade for over 20 years. This time food was bland and tasted less authentic. There must have been changes in the kitchen.

Ordered Kung Pao Chicken. Maybe i shoukd have tried another dish. This was lacking flavor. They also forgot to add my rice. Very disappointing for a first visit

Great Cantonese food. Good value and price.

Good food and good vibes. Instantly had the nostalgia feeling of a Chinese dim sum restaurant when you walked in. Most of the dim sum was on point (shrimp dumplings, shu mai, egg tart, sticky rice, spare ribs). Only sad they didn't have soup dumplings. Well worth the trip to get out there! Jealous of those where this is a convenient trip!

I arrived and ordered my food BEFORE the crowd came in. There seemed to be enough wait staff even after the crowd arrived. I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years, so I have very little sympathy if a restaurant can't do it right. With that being said, this has always been a rule in the restaurant world: If a customer does not order any appetizers, then their food needs to be all cooked relatively the same time and come out the relatively same time! If you did not know this, then you were poorly trained. It should never be that a dish comes out, then 20 minutes later, the second dish comes out; then 15 minutes later, the third dish comes out.

Best dim sum in the area! The pan fried dumplings are HUGE. The service was excellent. Our waiter offered us something that wasn't on the menu and it was delicious. He also memorized our entire order! Impressive. Will come back again!
