Yesterday was the first time I’ve had a sandwich at any Jimmy John’s and I was extremely satisfied! It was made exactly as I asked for and quickly and with a smile. Sometimes I can get headaches from prepared meats , but not from Jimmy John’s the north mall in Virginia Beach! It was an excellent sandwich which left me feeling great!!! The place was clean, friendly with a great atmosphere! I loved reading all the retro signs hanging on the walls. I look forward to going the north mall Jimmy John’s often.

There is nothing fast about Jimmy John's anymore sadly. So epically slow for one sandwich. There's literally no one else here. Sucks!
Adding some context here, it appears they just forgot somebody was sitting in the Drive-Thru waiting for one sandwich. And then they didn't gut the bread. So my sandwich was not made correctly. Awesome

Can't follow simple directions. 1- said no tomatoes order taker even confirmed that's what I said. Get 4 tomatoes on my sub. Thank God I'm not allergic.
2 wife was up sold a combo and asked for pasta salad. He failed to mention they didn't have any made. Our food came out and realized no pasta salad. That's when we were told. We did finally get some when we were almost done eating

Mobile ordered through drive thru upon arrival at said drive thru nobody talked over the speaker to say hold on hello or anything i said hello they told me to wait theyd be with me at this point i had been sitting in the drive thru for 10 mins after they finally came back to the speaker another 10 mins later they figured out it was a mobile order i pull up to the drive thru i sit their for 20 mins nobody comes to window i go inside turns out THEY FORGOT ABOUT ME thats crazy considering I WAS THE ONLY ONE THEIR
i had to go inside for my mobile order and they forgot about me thats just so crazy for freaky fast jimmy johns in my opinion and no apology was offered but i can assume its cause i told them to be better at the drive thru legit would never go to that one and they have watery ahhh chicken

Walked in and no one greeted me. One of workers working was leaned over on the counter and I heard him say "another hour of doing nothing" while he was on his phone. My pick up order was not bagged for me. Prior to pick up, I called to ask for my bread guts on the side and the guy was totally rude about it and said "we make the sandwich or we don't" after explaining what I wanted he reluctantly said "I'll let them know" this has literally NEVER been an issue any of the other times I've called this location or any other location. When I went in, I asked another employee what a better way to ask for that was, and the tall, loud man decided to butt in an answer when no one was speaking to him. He had a very loud tone and was telling me they aren't sure that's even allowed... I told him I had never had an issue before and he told me "when there isn't a manager there people will always do it because they don't know if they can or can't" I mentioned his attitude and tone in which he told me he's "very black and white" Our conversation was not constructive and he just seemed to want to argue and talk over me about how it's called "bread guts" and they don't know if they can wrap it on the side for me. I've never had such an issue over bread, in my life 🤣 I'll drive to another location next time instead of going here.
This is my least favorite JJ to go to. The staff is always very unpleasant. I recommend ANY other location over this one if you want to enjoy your experience and food. I don't see myself coming back to this location for a while. Please educate the staff on what is allowed and not.
Edit: I spoke with the manager and he let me know that he made sure everyone knew the policy on the bread guts. He apologized for his workers behavior. Thanks Alan! I'll give this location another shot!
Edit: have tried this location twice since my original review and frankly it just isn't as great as the other locations in VB. I ordered two sandwiches for delivery and only got one, when I called they got the other sandwich made and sent out but it just seems like this location is constantly forgetting things or having issues with the order. I prefer the Holland location and will gladly drive farther to ensure I get friendly staff and my food made correctly.

Took forever to come take our order, was standing around. Once we got the sandwiches the bread was stale and missing ordered items. Seemed like the person working didn’t want to be there

They have canceled about eight of my delivery orders over the last few months because they don't have delivery drivers on the weekend and when you go pick the food up yourself they also refuse to refund the delivery fee and tip that you paid for a driver to bring you your food! Robbery. Their attitude about their own mess up of not having a driver is horrible. He acted like I fired their driver personally and was the one inconveniencing HIM over the whole ordeal. First you made me come get my order and then you kept the money that I paid a driver to bring it to me? And it just keeps happening over and over and over again. You should be shut down! Worst staff ever. Horrible service. If you don't have a driver then you need to turn off your option to order for delivery on the weekends. This is not your customer's problem

Very good experience today during lunch. Employees were very patient with me while ordering, as this was my first time. Staff very professional and friendly. And I must mention the cleanliness of the entire store was impeccable!!Food was delicious!Jake really stood out. I can tell you have great employee culture based on the pride he showed in his store and team!!
